Description: Ron Schmidt was injured when a porch roof he was on collapsed. His employer was required to provide him certain safety equipment and did not. An award of a Violation of Specific Safety Equipment was made and appealed by the employer on the basis that they provided the safety equipment. The court ruled that providing the equipment required training and actual knowlege of the equipment's placement in the work truck.
