I would highly recommend Russo & Russo to anyone that has a criminal matter pending against them in Pinellas County. I live out of state in New York and Frank and his staff did an excellent job in achieving a favorable outcome to my criminal case for grand theft violation of probation charge. Also, I had 2 counts of worthless check charges pending against me too, not to mention 3 warrants out for my arrest which were outstanding by the way. Tim Sullivan represented me at my court hearing to get the 2 charges for worthless checks dismissed and they did. The prosecutor filed a Nolle Prosequi for those charges. Also, the 2 outstanding warrants were recalled as well. My grand theft violation of probation affidavit was terminated and the warrant was recalled as well for this charge too. Frank, Tim, Marc and all of the staff at Russo & Russo did a fantastic job representing me and making this a reality that if you do your homework online you can find a law firm like Russo & Russo that cares about your criminal record and helping clients achieve a favorable outcome on there cases. I would highly recommend this Law Firm to family, friends, or anybody else I know that needs criminal defense help for sure. Frank and his staff are honest, trustworthy, and very dedicated in achieving the best outcome for your case. A+ IN MY MIND AS THE BEST QUALIFIED CRIMINAL DEFENSE LAWYERS IN THE ST. Petersburg/ Clearwater Area No Doubt about it!!!!

Frank and his partner, Marc Pelletier represented me in a civil traffic matter that could have resulted in the suspension of my driving privileges. Frank and Marc's efforts and due diligence exceeded my expectations. Their strategy for the hearing was very smart, skillfully executed, and achieved a favorable outcome!
I would recommend Frank Russo and his partner, Marc Pelletier to friends, colleagues, and family members.

I was a client of Frank Russo after being charged with the criminal offense of permitting an unlicensed driver to operate my car. I was involved in an accident in November of 2008 with my unlicensed friend driving. The accident caused the charge against me to be aggravated. I knew that I needed an attorney because I had received several tickets over the last few years and this charge was not going to go away easily. Plus, I was seriously worried because this time it was a criminal charge and I could lose my license. I did what most people probably do; I asked around, both friends and family, about whether they knew a good lawyer who could help me out. I also did research on my own through the internet. The thing is, all of my recommendations from friends and family and all of my internet research seemed to lead back to the same lawyer. The same for many of my friends, some of which had used Frank before and others just heard of his law firm through word of mouth. It was clear that he handled a lot of criminal cases in Pinellas County.
So, I called the office and I spoke to Frank’s assistant, Lindsay. She told me that there would be a free consultation to discuss my case. Because I am a full time college student and work part-time, I asked if there was any way that the consultation could be done late in the afternoon and they fit me in Frank’s schedule. I thought that the process was going a lot easier than I expected.
I met with Frank at his office about three weeks after I was charged and only one week before my hearing. He went over the entire criminal court process from beginning to end and let me know what to expect. I immediately felt at ease with everything because I was worried about what would happen before the judge. It really helped that Frank took the time with me to calm my nerves and to explain things in plain terms. He was what I would expect of an experienced attorney and former state prosecutor, very familiar with the process, the people, and this particular judge.
At the court hearing, Frank once again met with me before we entered the courtroom. He reassured me and when my case was called, I felt confident that Frank would help resolve my case. And he did. Frank had recommended that I complete an online “Advanced Driver Improvement Course” before we attended court. His strategy worked well and the judge seemed impressed that I had made this effort and wasn’t taking the matter lightly. Not only was I able to keep my driver’s license, but the case was worked out without a criminal conviction. This was important to me because of my career goals. Although I was very nervous, I was out of the courtroom before I knew it.
I saw other lawyers finish with their client’s cases and the lawyers then immediately left the courthouse. But, when my case was finished with the judge, Frank personally took me to the clerk’s window where I was required to pay a small court cost fee. It was obvious that the clerks recognized Frank as someone who worked regularly in that building. My lawyer’s extra effort in helping me deal with the clerk and putting the whole matter behind me was greatly appreciated. I had never dealt with the clerk’s office in the past and having my lawyer with me was reassuring at this final step.
I have nothing but the best to say about attorney Frank Russo and everyone at Russo & Russo. I would more than recommend them to anyone who needs legal advice. I am so glad that I made the decision to get a lawyer to help me. I am also glad that I picked the right attorney. If not, I might still be trying to resolve my case or even worse, have a criminal conviction. My extra effort in researching the right lawyer paid off. I feel very comfortable in making this recommendation.

I was a client of Russo & Russo in Feb. 04 in their attempt to represent me in a DUI charge in Clearwater Florida. How did I decide to hire Frank Russo of Russo & Russo Law Firm? After being charged with a DUI, I was in a state of shock and I did not know about anything hiring a DUI lawyer. One — two days after being charged with DUI, I started receiving all kinds of slick brochures from attorneys saying “HIRE ME” to defend you. The law firm of Russo & Russo’s sent out an impressive brochure, and by all appearances from the information on the brochure from Russo & Russo, Frank Russo looked like he knew how to defend someone charge with DUI because his brochure stated, “ Frank Russo is a "FORMER State Prosecutor" and… "I own my own Intoxilyzer"). Well based on that “impressive” brochure and the claim that he was a former “State Prosecutor” I retained Frank Russo because I thought that with that prior experience Frank surely knew his way around the politics in the courthouse and he was competent in the courtroom.
However, Frank Russo & Marc Pelletier made a number of critical legal mistakes and did not provide me effective representation. They did not request adequate discovery from the Clearwater jail, and did not take advantage of opportunities to get exculpatory evidence in during the motion phase of the trial. They rolled over and did not adequately object to the flimsy evidence offered by the police.
How do you avoid this type of nightmare legal representation? First, do your homework, research your lawyer by cross referencing client reviews from Avvo.com with other lawyer referral sites, go to your local courthouse and ask around to find out the information necessary to make an informed decision. The time spent will be well worth it because it will assist you making the right decision in hiring a competent attorney or what happened to me could happen to you. If you are consider hiring an attorney, first ask how much “trial” experience they have and then ask to see their won/lost record.
In my opinion, Frank Russo and Marc Pelletier do not have the necessary legal skills to be effective trial litigators in a DUI case.
