I live out of state in New York and Frank and his staff did an excellent job in achieving a favorable outcome to my criminal case for grand theft violation of probation charge. Also..., I had 2 counts of worthless check charges pending against me too, not to mention 3 warrants out for my arrest which were outstanding by the way. Tim Sullivan represented me at my court hearing to get the 2 charges for worthless checks dismissed and they did. The prosecutor filed a Nolle Prosequi for those charges. Also, the 2 outstanding warrants were recalled as well. My grand theft violation of probation affidavit was terminated and the warrant was recalled as well for this charge too. I was a client of Frank Russo after being charged with the criminal offense of permitting an unlicensed driver to operate my car. I was involved in an accident in November of 2008 with my unlicensed friend driving. The accident caused the charge against me to be aggravated. I knew that I needed an... attorney because I had received several tickets over the last few years and this charge was not going to go away easily. Plus, I was seriously worried because this time it was a criminal charge and I could lose my license. I did what most people probably do; I asked around, both friends and family, about whether they knew a good lawyer who could help me out. I also did research on my own through the internet. The thing is, all of my recommendations from friends and family and all of my internet research seemed to lead back to the same lawyer. The same for many of my friends, some of which had used Frank before and others just heard of his law firm through word of mouth. She told me that there would be a free consultation to discuss my case. Because I am a full time college student and work part-time, I asked if there was any way that the consultation could be done late in the afternoon and they fit me in Frank’s schedule. I thought that the process was going a lot easier than I expected. I met with Frank at his office about three weeks after I was charged and only one week before my hearing. He went over the entire criminal court process from beginning to end and let me know what to expect. I immediately felt at ease with everything because I was worried about what would happen before the judge. It really helped that Frank took the time with me to calm my nerves and to explain things in plain terms. He was what I would expect of an experienced attorney and former state prosecutor, very familiar with the process, the people, and this particular judge. At the court hearing, Frank once again met with me before we entered the courtroom. He reassured me and when my case was called, I felt confident that Frank would help resolve my case. And he did. His strategy worked well and the judge seemed impressed that I had made this effort and wasn’t taking the matter lightly. Not only was I able to keep my driver’s license, but the case was worked out without a criminal conviction. This was important to me because of my career goals. Although I was very nervous, I was out of the courtroom before I knew it. I saw other lawyers finish with their client’s cases and the lawyers then immediately left the courthouse. But, when my case was finished with the judge, Frank personally took me to the clerk’s window where I was required to pay a small court cost fee. It was obvious that the clerks recognized Frank as someone who worked regularly in that building. My lawyer’s extra effort in helping me deal with the clerk and putting the whole matter behind me was greatly appreciated. I had never dealt with the clerk’s office in the past and having my lawyer with me was reassuring at this final step. I have nothing but the best to say about attorney Frank Russo and everyone at Russo & Russo. I would more than recommend them to anyone who needs legal advice.
