I hired Ms. Perez after receiving a letter of complaint/investigation from the Department of Health. Her response was prompt, professional and highly effective. She kept me well informed at all times which I appreciate very much. She convinced the Department to close the investigation. I'm truly grateful to Ms. Perez. She has my highest recommendation.
During a thirty-year health care career, I had worked with numerous attorneys, from partners at state-wide and national firms to sole practitioners. Therefore, I consider myself to be astute when evaluating qualities that can predict somewhat both the success of the attorney/client relationship and of the legal effort.
In the last decade of my career, I had experienced a business holocaust and had needed assistance in many venues, among those: Criminal Court, Department of Health, and a Professional Regulatory Board. Fortunately, I had been introduced to Elizabeth Perez.
At all times, Ms. Perez demonstrated an analytic mind, professional competence, an in-depth core knowledge of the above areas, and fine personal qualities. Her candor was tempered with much-appreciated sensitivity during the most stressful of times and her communication with all professionals when discussing strategy and in negotiation was stellar and had worked to my benefit.
I couldn't be more pleased with Ms. Perez's work. I am grateful to her and recommend her with the highest and the most complete confidence.
Elizabeth represented me in front of the Board of Medicine. She was able to take an administrative complaint of sufficient severity that it would place limitations on my license, and reduce it to a dismissal. Very talented, cordial, accessible, patient, and capable. HIGHLY recommended.
Ms.Elizabeth Perez demonstrates rare attributes not commonly seen in the legal profession that being the combination of a very strong knowledge of health care law in combination with a background in criminal law and genuine compassion and empathy for the client during an extremely stressful and catastrophic time in my life. She was there explaining the mitigating circumstances before the Board of Medicine and was able to obtain the best possible settlement agreement for me.As a physician who has been through as difficult situation as one can imagine, she is the lawyer that you want beside you when your future is on the line.
