Mr. Murphy represented me in a DUI case in Atlanta and the result was excellent. He is a hard worker, and an attorney who will fight for you and use his expertise and his knowledge of the legal system to get you the best results. He kept me informed and was responsive to all my concerns. The DUI case was dropped to Reckless Driving thanks to Mr. Murphy.
Mr. Murphy kept all his promises and was very easy to work with. He was always available when needed and kept me informed during those hard moments.
I hired Mr. Murphy a few months ago when I encountered a very negative life changing event. I had already gone through it once before, so needless to say I was pretty worried. Most people I know with DUI/DWI just see it as a fine but a conviction for DUI will fall you around for alot longer than you may think. Mike was very knowledgable with the DUI/DWI laws as well as the rules of the courtroom. It was pretty funny to see an attorney general stomping around like alittle child who couldn't get his way. When I first spoke with Mr. Murphy I only had one request, to catch that police officer lying on the stand. Not only did Mike catch the officer lying he caught the lying on more than a few occasions. I was impressed with how quickly Mike returned my phone calls. My previous lawyers would call me back within a week or two. Mike was the only person who took me seriously when I told him that I didn't drive under the influence of anything. Now I have my license back and I was able to go back and start working again. I didn't think I was going to be able to get my license back. I sincerely hope I don't ever need to hire another lawyer again, but if I did I would call Mike tommorow. THANKS Mike
Mike was assigned to defend me in a North Georgia DUI Case. He was very clear of the case progress with me and worked very well with the probate court. My charge was thankfully reduced, which saved my career by keeping a DUI conviction off my record.
Michael was an enormous help in corralling the insurance company and moving our case forward. I was the victim in an auto accident and the defendant's insurance agency was completely unresponsive until Michael and his team stepped in on my behalf. Michael has worked tirelessly to elicit a response from the insurance company and is now handling the proceedings to get the settlement I deserve. It's refreshing to have someone on my side that I can trust to work with me and deliver timely results.
I was recently involved in a traffic stop which resulted in a DUI charge and a night in jail. Shortly after being released, I received a barrage of flyers, letters and advertisements from law firms competing for my business. The package I received from Michael's law firm, W. Scott Smith, P.C., was well put together and included an informational DVD explaining the DUI charge, methods of defense and what to expect. After reviewing the package I met with the law firm staff and chose them for my legal defense. During my follow up consultation with Michael I became confident in his expertise and legal advise. He was straight forward and honest about my situation and set reasonable expectations regarding the possible outcome(s) of my case. After a my initial appearances in court and attempts to negotiate with the officer/prosecutor it became apparent that we would need to have a jury trial since the deals offered weren't acceptable by my standards. Michael performed his due diligence by thoroughly reviewing the facts and evidence related to the traffic stop. On my day in court in front of a jury of my peers Michael represented me with confidence, eloquence and zeal while presenting the facts in a manner that could not be refuted by any reasonable, competent person. It was apparent early in the trial that the jury was behind me and a verdict was reached quickly in my favor. Not Guilty!!! Thanks Michael!
