When I first had the accident it was traumatic experience where I ended up with an injury to my right leg. I began to search for an attorney online and I actually had someone handling my Personal Injury case before I reached Law office of Price Benowitz, LLP. I was disappointed by the previous lawyer due to the lack of professionalism. When I contacted the lawyer I expected a consultation fee. To my surprise and benefit there was no fee for anything until my case was solved. Not only was I charged by contingency but they also provided me a discount on the percentage I was told originally. The office personally contacted all medical parties involved to assure that they would negotiate the fees to best provide me the settlement I desperately needed. The office staff, Amanda Garcia in particular, is the incarnation of great professionalism. Price Benowitz has gone above and beyond my expectations and I cannot wait to contact them if I ever have another incident or to refer anyone to this office. I would personally want to thank John Yannone, Amanda Garcia and the rest of the staff for the incredible job they did keeping informed everyday about the status of my case.

I was originally overwhelmed when I was charged with a DUI since it was my first time. I had heard that David Benowitz was one of the best attorneys in DC. I called and we set an appointment for the next day and after speaking with him I was very comfortable with the background he had and the knowledge he displayed to me. I felt comfortable enough to retain him the same day. He provided me his cell phone and we were in constant communication. I was also very pleased with the flexibility of the payment plan I was offered. I was unable to make the original court date so Mr. Benowitz was able to get me a continuance. Today I walked into court knowing very well what to expect and was able to get a result that protected my career. I would definitely recommend Mr. Benowitz to anyone in a similar situation.

When I was initially charged with Domestic Violence I was terrified because my life was on the line and while looking online I read a great review on a criminal defense attorney on the website so I called the and spoke with the staff and felt comfortable knowing that I would meet with Shawn Shukumar that works under David Benowitz. He was very willing to work with my budget. After signing we were in constant communication especially because we had only 2 1/2 weeks. Today went to court and I was frustrated because the trial was running late and I was afraid of having another continuance. Shawn presented himself very professionally and pulled out all his cards and today to excitement and relief this is over and I was found Not Guilty. I am very happy with my choice. AMEN!

My daughter was charged with drving under the influence in DC. A friend of the family referred us to David Benowitz as one of the best DUI lawyers in Washington, DC. We called David and he took the case. I was worried because my daughter blew an extremely high BAC. The mandatory sentence was five days in jail plus fines. David, being the subject matter expert, was able to lower the punishment to 1year of Youth Act Supervised Probation, which allowed the case to be removed after the probation was completed. David did an exceptional job handling her case, keeping us informed of all new developments.. Even better, David managed to have the entire probation thrown out 8 months early her conviction was thrown out entirely.

As a highly regarded person in Washington, DC, I was faced with a very serious sexual assault accusation that was eventually dismissed by a grand jury. Due to the nature of the accusation, I met with a number of law firms, including the firm that I used for years. Initially, I hired the firm I had used previously for business because they had a large criminal defense practice in Maryland and DC. The woman I hired was a high profile former prosecutor. Dissatisfied with her work, I discussed the case with a friend who recommended that I speak David.

Within minutes after meeting with David, I called and dismissed my previous law firm. They just didn't grasp my feelings or understand my case (they didn't really listen to me). They only cared about retainer fees and providing information to a paralegal. David provided me with a very good understanding of the process so that I could close my eyes and sleep at night. The horror of being wrongly accused of any heinous act eats away at you. And, David acted more as a friend than a lawyer. He is trustworthy and dependable.

As my friends were pulled in front of a grand jury to testify. David helped me to remain calm and collected. In the end, I was never arrested or charged as the allegations proved completely false. In any regard, I would never hire anyone else but David to represent me in DC.

I was charged with Carrying a Pistol Without a License and Felony Possession of a Firearm. The charges said that I knew the weapon was in the car, but that absolutely untrue. I tried to tell the police the truth but they wouldn't listen to me or believe my story. I was facing the possibility of a major punishment. I met David while I was held for pre-trial and met with as soon as was released. I thought David was very professional, knowledgeable and competent. As the case proceeded, he would call me whenever he got new information or research to let me know where we stood. I was going to have to stay around to wait for a trial, but David managed to get the trial date converted to status hearing, allowing me to go home to wait for the case to be handled.. Eventually, the government dismissed the charges. When he first told me, I was absolutely ecstatic. David never let down his professionalism and never gave up.

David was helpful and knowledgeable. He was much better than other lawyers I worked with in the past. I was locked up and he got me out! Nothing to add but I would recommend him to others.

Everything with David was wonderful - his service, his background, he really worked hard for me! Everything was handled professionally and quickly. Dave obtained amazing results for my personal injury case. He kept every promise he made to me and I couldn't be happier with the outcome of my case.

I was charged with felony assault. I had a very clean record before this charge with no convictions. I was very nervous when I was originally charged. The system really tried to drag out my case because of the magnitude of the charge, but David used his knowledge and stuck with the case. I was facing second degree murder and more than twenty years. David Benowitz represented me. From the first time we met in 2008 e was there for me, he answered all my questions and hung in through good and bad. He gave me solid advise about choices I had to make in the case. As a result of his hard work I ended up walking out of the courtroom. I am very relieved because I would have been sitting in jail for a while.

I was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine, as well as possession of cocaine. Dave was the first paid lawyer I ever retained. I had used public defender's for a few cases in the past, and I have never been so glad to invest money in a lawyer as I was when I hired Dave. His fees were great. He worked with a payment plan to make sure I could afford to retain him. We had a pretty great case on our hands, but it was by no means a piece of cake. Detail: In October 2009 I was involved in a situation whereby I was assaulted and later arrested for a Felony of assault with a deadly weapon. My family called The Law Office of David Benowitz, along with various other offices over the weekend to obtain an attorney for me. This was the ONLY firm to ever call back and quite instantly, beginning to work with my family and I almost immediately. After being in jail for the first time in my life (and in DC of all places) I was a wreck, physically and emotionally injured. All of the fear I felt two days later before my arraignment, Attorney Roseanna Chase approached me that very Monday and relieved so much of the anxiety I felt. After my arraignment I was escorted to her office, the Law Office of David Benowitz, where the legal process began for me. Throughout the next 6 months I worked closely with Roseanna on my case. She kept me updated on the entire process including investigations, court dates, explanations of the many “what next/ what if” questions I often called her about. Roseanna was amazing at keeping me abreast of every detail of procedure and updates of my case from all angles. She has always been firm and honest about my case, never “keeping me in the dark” about anything and always being completely truthful about what I could expect at any point in the process. Later, at my final trial, she was extremely firm and strong in the courtroom. She demonstrated her highly legal mind and experience and showed no fear, alleviating much of my own anxiety and uncertainty. At this trial, where I had pled not guilty to what became of my felony, 2 misdemeanors, Roseanna made a Motion for Judgement of Acquittal and won this motion on both counts. Apparently this rarely and almost never happens, just proving how efficient Roseanna and the Office of David Benowitz really is. She was highly prepared and I felt like I was on a team with her the whole time because she never kept me wondering about what was happening in the Courtroom. She was truly exceptional and efficient in Court. I have seen many attorneys and legal staff throughout my over 6 years of experience working in the legal field, and I have honestly never met a group of attorneys who work so efficiently individually and as a team as this group of attorneys and legal staff. I was never in court by myself, always called, texted and/or emailed often and treated with the utmost honesty, directness and empathy by all of the attorneys and staff I worked with. My case was very uncertain for most of the 6 months, but Roseanna used all of her knowledge and experience to make the judicial process work to its fullest capability. Attorneys David Benowitz and Jason Kalafat also worked with me on several occasions when Roseanna was involved in other trials and matters and they were amazing as well. Also, the staff that I personally worked with including Patrick Henning, Matt Lawson and Marquita Johnson, were and are an indispensable portion of the team. They each aided me at any and every time I called and were nothing but courteous and direct with me. Everyone at this Firm was incredibly exceptional at their professions and I am unable to repay them for the wonderful experience I had with them in this process. They kept me hopeful during one of the most difficult periods in my life where I was suffering physically and emotionally and they never failed to go out of their way at any time to make the process easier. I cannot thank or recommend their exceptional quantity and quality of service enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was charged with Simple assault in DC. It was the first time I dealt with a criminal charge. David and his team guided me through the legal process, answering my limitless questions promptly. After a great deal of one of one preparation, we went to trial together and David was fantastic. Even with five witnesses against me, including police officers, I was acquitted!

I was facing reckless driving which meant many points that would have stayed on my license for many years (I have CDL) and I had a job application in. I didn't think I had much of defense and my luck the officers who had me on radar showed. The police officer spoke and I was sure I was done. My attorney cross examined the officers and found out that he screwed up. The judge agreed and found me not guilty. FYI when I saw the officer he said when I saw you I thought I was fine but when I saw your attorney I knew I was dead. Thanks for your hard work, you guys are good.
