A native of Northern Ireland, I have resided in the Washington DC area since February 1999, and have worked with my current firm since December 2000.
Although the law firm of Leavy, Frank & Delaney, LLC is based in Bethesda, MD, we have had the opportunity to work with individuals, companies and organizations from all areas of the United States to assist them with their immigration concerns. While we work with our clients on all aspects of US immigration law, our concentration is on assisting scientists and researchers with their visa matters.
Over the past number of years we have had the opportunity to offer educational Legal Seminars in conjunction with the National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) aimed at International Postdocs and Research Scientists, where we discuss temporary and permanent visa options with an emphasis on Extraordinary Ability and National Interest Waiver applications.
In 2010 I was honored to receive an invitation from the NPA to serve on their Advisory Council and currently continue to hold this position. We also publish quarterly articles in the NPA newsletter, the POSTDOCket, related to issues relevant to international postdocs, scientists and researchers.
