When we had a baby, my husband and I decided that it was time to consider estate planning. We wanted to have wills and, more importantly, we wanted to specify what would happen to our son in the event that we passed. Kerri was able to explain complicated legal concepts to us in English, and highlighted some of the major differences between VA, MD, and DC with regard to some of the things we were trying to accomplish. She also considered and explained tax consequences, which we had not even thought about.
We were by no means her biggest client, asset-wise. However, we never had to chase her down for anything -- she always replies instantly to any question, no matter how small, and she will keeps you posted as to the status of the work she's doing for you. The fact that Kerri is a notary as well is an added bonus, as it saves you a separate trip when you have to execute the documents!
Lastly, over the past two years since we signed the original documents, Kerri has always promptly updated anything that needs updating, such as when I finally decided to change my last name. Again, these seem like minor changes but they matter a lot, and she never made us feel like we were annoying for needing these minor adjustments after the original documents were done.
