Description: Represented Los Angeles based specialty pharmacy in qui tam litigation in federal court in Boston. Successfully defended client against allegations involving federal False Claims Act and 11 related state statutes over sale and distribution of prescription medication. Plaintiff relators and United States government had obtained nearly 600 million dollars from international drug manufacturer in the lawsuit and also sued over 10 pharmacies from across the country for additional damages. Obtained dismissal with prejudice for client following victorious Motion for Judgment on the Pleadings based on relators failure to identify fraud with sufficient detail and specificity.
