Fortunately, I was able to talk on the phone with Mr. Malik, instantly. At the time of scheduling the appointment, he was available and answered all my questions really quick and to the point. I have a better understanding on how J-1 visa works and what I should plan in advance. He advised me to find... a post-doc/research fellowship position and that there’s no deadline for J-1 visa. Therefore, it could be available at any time. H1B visa is also advised as the next step once the individual gets the position. I really appreciate him for his time.
