Vivek Malek

On April 8, 2017, my husband and I received a letter from USCIS stating that his application for Adjustment of Status had been denied. After 2 years of going through medicals, paying so much out of pocket, and interviews, we were not sure what to do. Since we live in a small town, we decided to go to... St. Louis one day and find a lawyer. We talked with 3 lawyers that day, one being Mr. Malik. After talking with all of them, we chose Mr. Malik because not only was he concerned with the legal aspect of our potential case, he was also concerned with our psychological and emotional well being. In addition, he was one of the most affordable attorneys in the area. After making the decision and putting down a payment, Mr. Malik and his staff began working immediately. Mr. Malik found out that my husband was denied because of misrepresentation; however, the problem we had was that we did not know what the misrepresentation was. So Mr. Malik was able to get in contact with many people and eventually he retrieved the original application for my husband's Visa. All in all, Mr. Malik and his staff helped us complete and submit our I-601 for misrepresentation, I-485 for Adjustment of Status, and I-765 for Employment Authorization in June 2017 (it took us a while to get everything together with work and school). Although it took some time because of the USCIS office, I am happy to say that my husband has received his Green card as of April 9, 2019. There were times I called the office crying and found myself ready to give up, but if it were not for Mr. Malik and his staff, we would not have made it this far. One thing I would like to say about the interview process is that before we went in, I can still remember Mr. Malik joking with us so that we could loosen up; and as we spoke, I was able to get to know him as a person. If you are looking for an attorney that really cares about you, has an incredible and helpful staff, is affordable, and is really concerned about your overall well-being, then Mr. Vivek Malik is the right person.

We first met Mr. Malik when looking for an attorney to deal with my immigration change of status. He laid out the process, the costs involved at the various stages, and gave us the confidence to believe we had found the right attorney for us. We went ahead and, after several months of submitting rel...evant documents to Mr Malik's office, we (my American wife and I) were accompanied to the Green Card interview by Mr Malik, who quietly oversaw the hour-long meeting with the immigration official in downtown St. Louis. I'm happy to report that I have now received my Green Card, and, when it comes to the time when I will be able to seek citizenship, I will be guided through that whole process by Mr Malik, as part of the deal. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mr Malik, a highly qualified expert in all aspects of the immigration process.

I found Vivek in a time of need through an internet search. I found him to be both ethical and competent. He spoke to me in the free talk prior to consultation, and gave me the simple advice that I needed, and told me that though I can go through the paid consultation later if I want, this is all tha...t I need to know for my case. I was very moved by his ethical behavior and thought that I should give him a positive unsolicited review so that others like me looking for competent, ethical lawyers know that lawyers like him exist. This was in contrast to immigration lawyers who charged me $250 for 15 minutes of consultation and did not add value to what I already knew. I would pay and go again for my immigration law needs. Strongly recommend him.

I consulted Attorney Vivek Malik regarding a very complicated case of the immigration of my son. He very diligently and professionally analysed, studied the case and gave us the most sincere, pragmatic and legally sound advice. Selflessly, he advised us not to pursue the case. I salute your professio...nal competence, courteous conduct and friendliness in dealing with us. I feel lucky to have met such a nice, cultured person. Though we we had more one meeting and multiple exchanges of emails, he did not charge anything. He is a pride of Indian diaspora. The above captioned title is a summary of how I would describe Mr Malik as an Attorney after my experience with him in the way he handled my brother's case with ICE. My brother had been taken in custody pending deportation after an unsuccessful appeal with the Board of Immigration Appeals as a result... of poor representation by another mediocre attorney. I had spoken with or visited about 10 Attorneys before I met Mr. Malik, all of whom were either hesitant or scared to take my brother's case or portrayed his case as a very hard/hopeless expensive bargain. At least that is how their responses sounded to me. I was so desperate and did not know who to hire as all those attorneys painted a picture of a near impossible case. When I met Mr Malik though, he was a keen listener, understood the weight of the matter, expressed experience with similar litigation and was in fact the only Attorney that did not shy away from taking over the case. He confidently did and in a matter of weeks my brother was freed from the ICE custody. Apart from that, he was agreeable to installment payments for his fees. What else can one ask? I will recommend him for anyone looking for a superb immigration law guru.
