Highly recommended

I contacted Edward because of his excellent reviews. He was professional, knowlegable and straight to the point when I spoke with him. I felt comfortable to hire Edward or recommend him to my friends and family.

Definitely the one!!!

After listening to numerous other attorney's negative responses to my plight, I checked AVVO. Ed Rice's name popped right up. I called him, and we met right away, as my case was do in court in several short days. He reviewed my paperwork, and gave me a favorable disposition immediately. For the first... time in months, I actually felt comfortable about my case. My landlord's attorney proved to be wicked intelligent, sharp, and well rounded in case laws. However, within the first few minutes, Ed also proved to be well versed in landlord/tenant law. To actually watch someone fight for his client, the way Ed fought for me, was truly amazing. Usually, landlord/tenant attorneys are compassionate for both sides, thus compromising both sides to work in favor of everyone, and not their client. That was NOT Ed's position, and he displayed it professionally. He walked in mediation to fight for his client, me, and walked out with a decision in my favor, with a monetary outcome. Ed Rice fights for his clients...and does not compromise that position. I never had any doubts, but when I saw him in action, I was truly amazed at his courtroom tactics. Irecommend him highly, and wish him the best...and you, if you should choose him as your attorney.

Helped me get my security deposit back

I contacted Edward through Avvo since my earlier landlord (an LLC) was not returning my Security Deposit. Edward suggested me to send a formal demand letter citing the law and it worked wonder. And all of his advice was pro-bono .

Excellent Experience with Ed Rice

Spoke to Ed regarding a recent late payment issue I had with a big apartment complex. The buildings lawyers were playing hard ball so I needed to understand legally what I could and could not do. He asked three or four questions about my situation and very quickly told me what my rights were and what... my very specific obligations were given the situation. He spent as much time as I needed with me on the phone until I felt comfortable i knew what to do. Not only was the legal advice helpful, but it also gave me peace of mind knowing what the landlord could and could not do. Getting into trouble with your landlord can be very stressful and it was very helpful to understand from him what was worth fighting for and what was not and then how to present my situation to another landlord to move on as quickly as possible. I appreciated very much his clear feedback as to how to best handle the situation given what had happened. I have moved to another apartment and am much happier and won't be paying my rent late again.

smartest and most trustworthy man in my like

since my dad passed over 30 yrs. ago its been hard for me to trust men, they have taken advantage of my sweetness and generosity and made my life extremely hard. As I got to know Ed he slowly did everything he said he would for me and the outcome of my case was overwhelmingly to my favor and my life... will go on day by day knowing that I at least can trust one man in this world so far.
