I hired this attorney, and she concealed my documents that were mailed to her office and attention via FedEx 2Day Air. She concealed them from me and my children, causing us to lose our family home after 15 years, and causing undo emotional distress. I filed a Binding Arbitration with the AAA of Lo...s Angeles Case# 01-17-0004-9814, as she stated in her contact to me if I disagree with the handling of my case, and in the 16-page Arbitration Award Letter, and Judgement Award, she was found guilty of committing Initial court filings "Legal Malpractice and Fiduciary duty" along with her two co-defendants that were also found liable for negligent malpractice and vicarious liability. I won this binding arbitration case against her on June 15, 2022, and have a 16-page award letter and Judgement that was entered on April 19, 2023, against her and her two co-defendants Case# 22STCP03304 for Approximately now $900,000.00, including the plus 10% if not paid in full starting in June 2022, but she has filed Bankruptcy Chapter 13, now the Case# 2:23-bk-13906-WB making it impossible to replace our home during these hard and terrible times, this case is public record please review these cases with the Bankruptcy Court in Los Angeles, these are all factual cases. These cases and Judgement are also public records and on file with the Los Angeles Courts in California and are posted on all the court's websites. Avvo, please don't deny me the right to post this true statement about this dishonest attorney. I need the world to know what the State Bar is putting out in the world, in this so-called professional attorney. This is what she did to me, my children, and my family after I trusted her to help us to keep our home, and I don't want this to happen to anyone else. Please read the Court cases on the court websites and run far away from this dishonest and deceptive lady, that calls herself a mother. She also lost her appeal, that she filed with the other attorney who is also responsible and is included in this lawsuit. The "Remittitur" was just issued and received on September 30, 2024. I understand that she might have "5" stars posted here on Avvo, but she is not a "5" star attorney. You don't hurt people and hide up under the Bankruptcy Court, Lauren Rode.

Lauren helped me no one else would give me a chance. I had a labor dispute with a former employer and I had contacted about 50 other lawyers in the San Diego or Los Angeles area. Most of them would look into my case, but because there wasn't as strong of evidence OR there wasn't enough money in the c...ase to be made, they turned me away. Could you imagine what it's like for someone who is currently homeless and was financially wronged by a company but is now robbed of his/her rights because they weren't "worth the money" or "time"? Looking back, it probably wasn't worth my time either, but I had been living in my car and the $1500 or so I would end up settling for later would have been a lot of help. The fact is, it was the principle and that company's wrong had been the catalyst of the most catastrophic downhill period of my life. I probably lost some money as well in the case but I think she empathized about how I felt and decided to take me on. It took about a year and half or two for things to finally go through but from start to finish, I felt as if Lauren had held my hand all the way through. There was never an e-mail that I sent that wasn't answered promptly/professionally or concern left unaddressed. I first contacted Lauren nearly a year ago when I unexpectedly began experiencing major financial problems. She spoke with me at length on the phone and was extremely knowledgeable simultaneously empathetic. These are two qualities that one doesn’t often find in a person. I thought I would be filing ...bankruptcy. When it became apparent on account of a completely unforseeable event that my filing bankruptcy wasn’t in my best interest Lauren herself told me so costing her businesses. She is a zealous and fierce advocate for her clients best interest and works tirelessly to make sure none of her clients are being taken advantage of. She put my well being and interest first above her own. Since I first spoke with her she has continued to advise me on legal issues when I send her extremely long and detailed emails and I mean littered with questions that likely read like a bar exam question. Lauren never ceases to amaze me. She goes out of her way and always emails me back faster than I can check my email. Her advice is spot on and she is clearly extremely well informed about the law not just bankruptcy law but has a firm command and mastry over the law generally speaking. In short though I have never retained Lauren because I haven’t had a bankruptcy case I have had numerous legal issues and questions related to my legal rights as a consumer and Lauren has never asked for so much as a dollar from me. In a world filled with so many incompetent people of all professions and in particular the general bad reputation lawyers get Lauren is a shining exception and not just an extraordinary lawyer but human being. She is extremely empathetic but don’t let that fool you. She has a strong internal sense of right and wrong and what is fair and it is glaringly obvious she isn’t just in law for the $$ but because it’s her passion and because she wants to make a difference. All I can say is thank you Lauren! You have made a major difference and helped me get through a dark time in my life and to the other side. All I can say if you are reading this and scared because you are worried you may be in legal trouble or are already in legal trouble is call Lauren. I was referred to Lauren last year. I am a single mother of four boys and was in financial trouble. I called her and told her that I had been served with a lawsuit by a creditor for an old debt.
