About two months ago, I went from being the best man at my friend's wedding to sitting behind bars for 15+ hours. It was probably the worst day of my life. After I got out, I never thought I would miss the outside world so much. I was looking at three misdemeanors and a violation. People usually say ...misdemeanors aren't serious, but regardless, if you are convicted, you will forever have to answer that you were convicted of a "crime" whether it's for a job interview or an apartment application. During the 60 days I had from my arrest till the court appearance, I contacted at least 50 attorneys. The next 6 weeks were the most anxiety filled and restless weeks of my life. Eric reached out to me on a regular basis informing me of the steps he had taken. The Bronx prosecution office was so backed up that it took about 3 weeks for them to get back to Eric. Eric was persistent and relentless during this time, providing updates during the whole process. P.S. - when I was first arrested over 10 years ago, I was ripped off by an attorney, hence why I called at least 50 attorneys this time and did my diligence in finding the right one.
