I am an employer, I hired David in 2014. He represented me in L&I court. He is an experienced Attoney, he helped me set up L&I account, wrote protest statement, got witness statement and went through all the legal process. In July, 2013 I agreed to meet my employer at the privacy of her office site after I'd completed my workday, on my own time, to discuss some pressing issues at my workplace to benefit the harmony of the company. As I was walking to the building, she opened the door and came out speaking and as I look...ed up at her I ended up stepping into a previously unfilled area alongside the sidewalk and doing a 360 degrees full body turn landing full-impact and crushing my left shoulder. instead of even being asked if I was allright, the 2nd manager who ran out simply announced to me, "this happened off the clock, so you know this isn't L&I?" Embarrassed by the fall, I got up and proceeded to go in and have the aforementioned meeting I arrived for. Starting the very next day the company immediately orchestrated to circle the wagons and it only proceeded to get increasingly more difficult for me to work there. I went about doing my job and after physical therapy for a few weeks it was determined I should have surgery to avoid atrophying my muscles, etc in my shoulder and arm. In early November, I had complicated, invasive surgery and it was highly recommended I take off the full 6 months to fully recuperate, but as I only had my 3 weeks of owed vacation/sick time available, I didn't have the luxury of time off and went back to work only 6-weeks later. Instead of being thankful in the least, I was forced to obtain guidelines/restrictions from my surgeon to hand in as it was assumed I would work as if nothing happened. It wasn't until after I'd returned to work did I finally entertain the idea of obtaining counsel to fight them and attempt opening an L&I claim as I should have at the onset; but in an effort to get along I'd attempted not to cause confrontation where I worked... It was then I went in for a free consultation at an Everett law firm and they were gracious enough to specifically recommend David McAuliff to me. Soon, I met with him at his office and walked away feeling comfortable with and fully confident in him as I signed the paperwork and retained him. One of the smartest moves I've ever met. David proceeded to tell me what he was going to do to help me and fulfilled everything promised and much more. He fought and got my L&I case opened as he had me do my part in going to doctors, etc. The employer fought every step along the way which was compounded in my refusal to quit my job and just walk away. It was challenging, but I have integrity and had done nothing wrong. Even more so, Mr. McAuliff proved to be the one with immense integrity and grit as he advocated for me at every turn, ultimately 6 months later defeating my employers via a preliminary fact-finding conference call between David and myself, the employer's representative and a 3-panel Judgeship. With the honorable Judge moderating, my opposition essentially announced they had been in the wrong and when asked by the Judge if they intended to proceed with the case to court, they threw in the towel and it was over and my L&I case was allowed. I could never have desired am more positive outcome. David further obtained a settlement and continued care for me which was invaluable as ultimately my employers had trumped up an excuse to finally terminate me and then deny my going to Unemployment to request benefits. I share all this to encourage all who find themselves personally in a similar situation of helplessness and hopelessness at the mercy of dishonest, and self-serving oppressors, that there IS justice when you are fortunate enough as I with finding such a tireless, tenacious, honorable and completely committed advocate as David McAuliff. I have since retired with permanent disability and had I not been guided to David I can assure you my life now would have been much different.

I had a back injury working as a mechanic. L&I only allowed the claim just as a strain even though I told them there was something wrong with my leg. Then they closed my case. Mr. McAuliff got with my doctors and then with L&I. They reopened my case for the nerve problem that was their all along. The...y closed it again recently but thats ok. I'm back to work and they paid an award for part disability. Thank you Mr. McAuliff.

I originally hurt my neck in 2006 and had surgery in 2007 which was a disectomy @ c5 n c6 with fusion, I returned to work and had no problems until May 2012. The neck pain and arm numbness returned, my primary care physician suggested I reopen my L&I claim. L&I approved a Mri in May of 2012 which sho...uld a herniated disk @ c6 n c7. I was referred to neurosurgeon for surgery but before L&I required a IME in July they stated my condition had not worsened so the denied the reopening of my claim. I filed a appeal which was also denied and was told that the only thing I could do was to get a Lawyer and fight L&I. I was referred to a great Lawyer David McAuliff, David nows the L&I laws inside and out David accepted my case and with the great work from David I won my case in November 2013. I had my second neck surgery February 2014. Without David I wouldn't have won this case, he is very knowledgeable and personable and really cares for his clients.

i hired David after my last lawyer completely dropped the ball on my claim. David sounded good at the time, but as time went on, he was harder to reach. I have been trying to reach him for 3 months and he has NEVER called back. On the rare occasion I actually reach him, I have to restate what has hap...pened last, he can't access my claim on-line or the systems are down. I will no longer be using his services and would not recommend him!
