We ended up firing her. Communications broke down almost immediately stopped returning calls and emails. Lost or would not read documents vital to case and had to resend multiple times. She would come up with a strategy and then abandon it without explanation then get mad at you for asking about it. ...She would wait till last minute to communicate during negotiations making the process rushed. Unprofessional, she actually answered the phone with “what do we have to talk about” not hello when the other attorney wanted information she emailed last minute and I had questions on. Her insults to my ex-wife were offensive to me, and I don’t have anything good to say about my ex! It was unreal. We were responsive and polite to her. I would say if you hire her proceed with caution. Family law is not her strong suit and like most lawyers know emotions run high with family law, she’s not built for it. Disorganized, lack of knowledge, rude, petulant, and lazy.

After talking to many lawyers, I finally made my decision to hire Betsy. She is honest, straightforward, offers every possible outcome, and thoroughly walked me through the entire process of this horrible custody battle I have going on. Just attended court this morning and walked away with everything... we talked about and I wanted. It's not completely over but it's a huge step in a positive direction! She knows her stuff! Highly recommend to anyone! I'm very happy so far and will post again after all this is over with!

I retained Betsy for a child support modification case. I was stationed overseas at the time but she made it very easy for me to handle everything that needed to be done. Every time I submitted paperwork and had a question regarding the case there would be an email for me answering all questions. ...She made herself available to me by telephone since I was not able to be there in person. The professionalism in the way she handled herself and the legal advice provided allowed me to make some sensible decisions while protecting my rights at the same time. I really appreciated her time and effort put towards my case and would recommend her as an attorney to anyone seeking legal representation.

Let me start off with saying the only reason I didn't give the five star rating is because my case is still active. But I am almost sure that by the end of this, she will have all five stars by me. Betsy does her job very well. She is a well educated lawyer who knows what she is doing and does it r...ight. She's highly informative and wants to do what's best for her clients. Although my case is not yet over, I have high confidence in her to accomplish what I expect. She is very open and honest and gives it to you straight up. Which is a good quality when fighting for what's best. She has worked hard for my case so far and I am very pleased with the direction it's headed in. I'm grateful to have had a chance to find such an honest, hardworking and trustworthy lawyer.
