Mr. Aimsworth went above and beyond as our attorney. In 2013 Newton County Sheriffs department had my brother in jail without bond for some very severe and violent charges. The family was worried sick about him because he had not ever been in trouble and did not know what to do to help him. Our mo...ther was fighting bone cancer at the time and since my brother was arrested a few days before thanksgiving the extra stress of my brother not being able to attend my mothers potentially last thanksgiving was devastating. Mr. Aimsworth was referred to us by my husband and able to not only have my brothers charges dropped down to misdemeanors but also have him home by thanksgiving. Now 6 years later my mother is still here cancer free and my brother is a felon free working and productive member of society. Mr. Aimsworth also helped my husband who was also falsely accused of several violent charges in Newton County such as aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. We patiently awaited trial for these charges for years and when the trial ended in April 2018 my husband was found not guilty on all charges and free to go home without any probation or parole for the first time since 1997. We are finally able to be the family god intended for us to be. Mr. Aimsworth who we now reference to as Neal brings much needed justice to much deserved people. Neal represented me for two felony domestic violence charges Fva. The triail was very ugly and one sided as the DA were lying and the Judge was attempting to block my attorneys rebuttals and evidence. Neal fought through it all ....gave an excellent closing statement. ..and I walked out with a Not G...uilty verdict. This was my first time ever going to court and I am so glad I hred Neal rather than the Public Defender I was offered.
