Thank you Attorney Slone!

I was referred to Attorney Fred Slone by a coworker. He and 2 others had successfully been defended from dui charges. I was arrested for dui on a Saturday night. Fred returned my Sunday call within a very short time. He and his staff immediately began paperwork for a DMV hearing. This postponed my ...CDL forfeiture, which would have immediately cost me my job. I had very difficult circumstances stacked against me. I had been cooperative with the arresting trooper. Despite this, Fred was able to determine my "due process" had been violated. Fred successfully defended me in the DMV hearing, resulting in NO loss of CDL! I was able to witness both Fred (and Landon) at work in the courtroom. They were very impressive in action, and it was obvious I made the correct choice by seeking their representation. Ultimately, Fred was able to get my breath test dismissed, and eventually the state dropped my entire case! No charges! I have never needed representation before this. Fred, Landon, Dawn, and Cynthia did an excellent job helping me through this crisis. They answered all my questions promptly, and were courteous and understanding. All correspondence (emails, recordings, etc.) Arrived timely, and instructions were clear. Any additional paperwork requests I had to stay in compliance with my employer, were handled without hesitation. Fred's fee contract kept me from guessing when I was getting a bill, and how much it was going to be. I know not everyone is perfect. Good people make bad decisions. If you or someone you know is in the same boat I was, you CAN NOT afford to wait. You CAN NOT afford to go it without Attorney Fred Slone! I am 100% confident Fred will give you your best opportunity for success, just like he did for me.

Charges and dismissed

Mr Slone took the time to get all the information from my case and review all documents and video. His dedication to his work and the facts helped my case against the charge against me. His meticulous cross examination at the hearing proved how well he took the time reviewing my case from counting ...steps on the sobriety test to analyzing the video over and over, while looking for discrepancies in the officers written report and testimony. His hard work and experience got my case dismissed and my life back. Mr Slone is an amazing lawyer, he answered all my questions in a timely manner no matter big or small. I would recommend him to anyone needing help like I did.

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"Excellence is the best descriptor of Fred’s DUI defense experience and ability. I have known Fred for many years, both as an adversary and colleague. I initially met Fred when I was a prosecutor in the Kenai DA’s office. We litigated cases, even shared a jury trial before I re-entered private defense practice. His knowledge and skills in defending DUI cases is top notch. I have referred my own clients to him—and would not hesitate referring a close friend or family member if they found themselves charged with a DUI in the Anchorage/Matsu areas."

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
