Biography
Evan was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. He grew up in South Anchorage and graduated from Dimond High School. Evan was part of the first graduating class of Japanese Immersion Program students to attend immersion classes from 1st – 12th grade. The immersion program afforded Evan the opportunity to travel to Japan and stay with a host family while in elementary school.
Evan attended Colorado State University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Evan returned to Alaska and worked as a field engineer for a large commercial construction company before attending law school.
Evan has been active in sports his whole life and played competitive ice hockey for local teams, Dimond High as well as for Colorado State University’s club team while in college.
While attending law school, Evan clerked for a prominent criminal defense firm in Oregon. With the assistance of the firm’s owner, Evan handled multiple serious felony criminal and post-conviction cases. Evan was able to hone his trial skills while still in law school and successfully defended a client charged with first-degree murder and misconduct involving a weapon. The client was acquitted of all charges based on a self-defense theory and was released from state custody the day of the verdict after spending over a year in jail. Evan also had the opportunity to represent other clients at trial and hearings, all before graduating.
Also while in law school, Evan successfully drafted a post-conviction petition and memorandum that was granted by a judge in Oregon. In essence the client who was originally sentenced to life without parole was granted a new sentencing trial on his aggravated murder charge.
Evan graduated cum laude from Willamette University College of law and was a member of Moot Court and Law Review. Evan also received a certificate in dispute resolution and was nominated to the Order of the Barristers for his outstanding courtroom advocacy skills. Evan was also active in the Student Bar Association and was Vice-President of his class in his final year of law school.
After law school, Evan returned to his home state of Alaska and opened his own law firm in Anchorage. Evan practices in many areas of law including criminal defense, family law, personal injury and other civil suits. Evan is admitted to practice in both the state and federal courts in Alaska.
When not assisting his clients with their legal needs, Evan spends his time enjoying hunting and fishing in Alaska. Evan also enjoys world travel and studied abroad in Australia while obtaining his undergraduate degree.

Good lawyer
