Mr. Quackenbush received a B.A., magna cum laude, from Brigham Young University in 2008 and later earned a J.D. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law. During law school, Mr. Quackenbush participated in moot court and law review. He continued his legal scholarship after law school, and he has published on the topics of Federal Indian Law and chapter 15 of the Bankruptcy Code.[1]
Prior to his work in Alaska, Mr. Quackenbush was involved with high profile bankruptcy and contract cases in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nancy B. Rapoport, former law school Dean and Professor of Law, chose Mr. Quackenbush to assist her as fee examiner in the complex, multi-billion dollar, chapter 11 Station Casino bankruptcy case. Mr. Quackenbush was also selected by the Honorable Bruce A. Markell to serve in chambers for the Federal Bankruptcy Court.
Mr. Quackenbush launched his career in Alaska with the Alaska Attorney General's office, consumer protection unit, and later moved on to work for the prestigious law firm of Walker and Eakes. He has litigated numerous commercial cases; family law cases (including divorce, child custody / child support, dissolution of domestic partnership, domestic violence petitions); bankruptcy and tort cases; and he has successfully argued complex tax issues before the Supreme Court of Alaska. His work in the private sector has also lead Mr. Quackenbush to serve as corporate counsel for 26 corporations, LLCs, and their subsidiaries. Mr. Quackenbush is also responsible for the legal oversight of individuals’ passive involvement in numerous other companies and investments.
It is Mr. Quackenbush's experience, knowledge, and skill that get his clients results and legal advice necessary to properly advise and protect the interests of the entities and individuals he serves.
