Holland McBurns and the team at Evergreen Elder Law prepared a Simple Will Package including Power of Attorney for my wife and I. I was extremely happy with how easy they made this process. McBurns was both pleasant and professional as she walked me through the paperwork. I found her staff to be very well organized, sympathetic to my concerns, and thorough in the details. What sets McBurns apart from other attorneys is her laid back, friendly approach to legal counsel. I would definitely use her services again.

Holland and her paralegals took me by the hand and guided me to financial professionals to help me with my investments that had previously been mismanaged. Thanks to Holland and her team and the wonderful people they connected me with, my life is better than before. I am so thankful for all they have done to get my on track. I can now feel confident in my future.

Although Holland no longer practices family law, she agreed to assist me in my divorce. I was very happy with the job Holland did on my case. She was incredibly understanding about my feelings, always asking me how I was feeling and checking in to make sure she was doing what I wanted. The only thing I would say, is she was too nice, I would have liked her to have been more aggressive, but that's probably because my ex's attorney was so nasty. Holland chose to stay civil and ultimatly got me the results I wanted.

Holland and her staff provided the proper direction and documentation for our estate planning in a concise and comprehensible manner. Subjects of this nature are often something that you might want to delay action on or ignore, but it is critical that you don't. So when the process began, we were greatly impressed with and grateful for the choice we had made in an attorney. We could not recommend more highly Holland McBurns and her skilled office staff.

Holland is both a fantastic lawyer and a caring individual. I was in a serious legal bind Holland and her staff stepped in and handled my case with professionalism and class. If I ever have legal issues in the future, she is the only attorney in Spokane I would consider hiring. She is intelligent, diligent, and trustworthy. She has a mastery of the law and is wonderful person. Thank You Holland and everyone at Evergreen Law!

We worked with Holland McBurns for our estate planning needs. She was excellent to work with especially as new parents we were uneducated about all the considerations we should make to secure our child's future. She took the time to explain every step and detail and our choices for the best outcome for our situation. My husband and I are both relieved to have this step completed and know that our child will be in a secure place if anything were to happen to us. Thanks so much to Holland for helping us with the process.

While Holland McBurns seems like a genuine, sincere, and high skilled & knowledgeable legal professional, her staff does NOT. I have had only 2 dealing with McBurns Law Firm regarding my father's estate (no will), the initial consultation, and a [supposed to be] quick appt. to sign the final legal docs before court filing, but there have been THREE errors (3) to date. The first occurred when I stopped in to sign paperwork before it went in front of the judge, her paralegal had my father's name wrong TWICE in 1 document (it's not like there was any CONSISTENCY to his error! But 2 completely DIFFERENT names in the same doc!!!). My "quick" appt. turned into a 30 minute ordeal while I waited for him to draft up the "correct" paperwork.
The next error came when I received the signed and stamped paperwork via USPS snail mail. McBurns Law Firm had listed my dad's date of death 2 1/2 (TWO and A HALF) MONTHS before his ACTUAL date of death!!!! KEEP IN MIND THAT I DID PROVIDE THEM W/ A DEATH CERTIFICATE. Holland has had to "step in" at this point (but I'm not really sure what that means?). In addition to ALL of THAT, the paperwork explaining "what happens next" in the legal process was NOT included in anything I've received, though it should've been...
My final verdict: BUYER BEWARE!!!!! ATTENTION TO DETAIL IS NOT THEIR MAIN PRIORITY (I believe the Mc Burns Law Firm website says "Our elder law practice is dedicated to sensitive attention to detail..." But how much more INSENSITIVE could they be? Because I'm not ALREADY dealing w/ enough stress?! Don't people HIRE attny's to take care of IMPORTANT legal details? I should NOT have to go over everything w/ a fine tooth comb, or stress/worry that my legal team got it wrong AGAIN!!!!). And speaking of hiring, I paid my very hefty retainer fee in FULL w/in 2 business days of my initial appt., so I should not be receiving subpar legal help (though ethically, payment in full should not dictate that...but I AM trying to live in reality!).
Footnote: My case is not settled as of yet, but I will add an addendum once it is...to be continued...dun-dun- duuuun!
