Biography
I limit my practice to Medicaid Planning for Nursing Home Benefits, Elder Law, Estate Planning, Probate & Trust Administration.
I am a Board Certified Elder Law Attorney by the Florida Bar. I am the only Board Certified Elder Law Attorney practicing in southern Sarasota County. I have been board certified in Elder Law by the Florida Bar since 2016.
I have a passion for assisting my clients overcome their issues and guide them through challenging times. I consider it a privilege when someone entrusts me with their legal matter and I work hard to establish a relationship with each one of my clients that I hope will last a lifetime.
Originally from Wisconsin, I was raised in Venice, Florida since I was 9 years old and am a product of the Pine View School and Venice High School. I went to Stetson University for my undergraduate degree and the University of Kentucky College of Law for my law degree.
I am a good person and a good attorney. However, we cannot be experts in everything. If I am not the right person to handle your matter, I will tell you at the outset and I will also point you in the direction of someone who is. I look forward to us meeting soon!

Medicaid approval
Matt took the info and organized it to submit to Medicaid. He got the approval in 4 weeks and 3 days! I could not have done it with out his guidance. I interviewed 4 lawyers...he was the one who was the most competent and fair and trustworthy.

Great Advice
Matt gave me some advice with a restraining order i was seeking. His advice was THE BEST , because what he said would probably happen, did . He is a super nice polite guy. very easy to speak with. He really is good at looking at a situation from many angles.
