Office staff and legal assistant

Awful experience with These people. At the beginning they said one thing and the next thing I know my retainer was gone on research about how to get my parenting plan switch to Washington. Something they said they could do quickly and inexpensively. They would not have timely responses. I would have... to leave message after message and email before eventually I would hear something. This turned out to be almost a year long process!!! They even sent me other peoples paperwork twice.!! To which they called right back and ask me to shred it!

Save your money!!

This is by far the worst experience I have had in dealing with a lawyer, someone with whom I have paid to work for me!! She is the worst person with communicating along with many other things. There were times when the opposing party knew about papers that I supposedly submitted before I even did. He...r paralegal even told me that they can sign per my behalf even when I don't agree with what they had written up. Multiple times I was given misinformation. I would have been much better off representing myself. I have paid/owe this woman close to $6000 for filing paperwork. The worst decision of my life!!!!!!!

My opinion and experience

My experience with Ms. Costello was lukewarm, at best. She was very difficult to get on the telephone, and seldom would return your calls. She treated us very poorly at first, and even dropped our case. The day she let us know she was dropping us, was 2 weeks before a court hearing. Ms. Costello was ...abrasive, and difficult over the phone, yelling unsubstantiated reasons for dropping our case. She refused to listen to what I had to say, stating she was uncomfortable talking to me any longer. The whole experience was awful! She later (several days) rang me up, and after a very intense conversation (I was very upset), gave a lacking apology for poor communication, and not fully understanding what was going on. At that time she asked us to reconsider her quitting, and put her back on the case. We reluctantly did, mostly due to financial reasons. I never really trusted Ms. Costello after that. She did improve on communication, and she did see the case through. The emotional and financial cost was weighty. It was a TERRIBLE experience, and I'm certainly glad that I no longer have a need for Ms. Costello's services. My opinion is, look elsewhere.

Absolutely hands down TERRIBLE as an attorney AND person!

The best way I can describe her is being a b!tch on a power trip. She does NOT care about your case, you are just a paycheck to her. Neither her nor her staff return emails, phone calls or any other attempt at contact. She does not keep you up to date on your case, at all. The only way I EVER knew w...hat was happening in my case was searching the Spokane Country Court website and finding out what had been filed and when. During my first custody hearing she called my ex by MY last name instead of by theirs, and could not remember my child's name throughout the entire divorce. She showed up almost two hours late to my mediation but still charged me for the time, even though she wasn't there. She also tolld me that if I didn’t give her a ridiculous amount of money that she would not take my case to trial. She made it clear that she just wanted money. I received bills for every email that she read and DIDNT reply to. When I finally got frustrated at her lack of response I said something about it and she yelled at me and threatened to drop me as a client. I'm sorry but I thought your job as an attorney is to represent the person paying you?!?! Not get mad when they call you out on your BS. I spent thousands of dollars on her and have nothing to show for it. I got the same outcome I could have if I had just represented myself. I did not get any justice in my divorce, in fact she didn't even manage to get my back MY OWN belongings that I had proof I paid for. She somehow let it "slip through the cracks" She is so bad, that when a friend of mine went through a divorce and asked who my attorney was I recommended the attorney that MY EX USED instead of her! Thats how awful she is. Any positive feedback on here was 99.9% written by herself or her staff because it is an absolute joke for people to say that she is caring, and excellent with communication. She is not. She is a joke and shouldn't be an attorney. Don't waste your money. Find someone who is gonna care about you and your case and not just how much money you can give to them in the end.

WONDERFUL! Divorce made easy!

Gina and her entire team are nothing short of fantastic. After going through one AWFUL lawyer, I was referred to Gina Costello. I was extremely hesitant to hire another lawyer for fear that it would turn out as awful as the last. Reluctantly, I went to Gina's office and was more than impressed. I hav...e worked in a law firm in the past and Gina's office was exactly what you could ever hope for in an attorney. She and her team not only helped with my divorce and parenting plan struggles, but they actually helped with the healing and emotional process that goes along with divorce as well. Gina takes an aggressive head on approach and is not afraid to go to court and fight for her clients and for what is right. The rates are fair and match the work that is done. I would refer this firm to anyone going through divorce.
