also known as Bill
When I was 16 a drunk driver ran a stop sign and hit me. He was so far gone he couldn't get out of the car without help. His insurance company blamed me. I had to hire an attorney just to get my motorcycle fixed. I decided to become a lawyer and work to hold people like that and their insurance companies responsible for the harm caused.
My primary areas of practice are personal injury, commercial truck and motorcyle crashes, and insurance disputes. I also represent consumers victimized by debt collection violations, fraud schemes including "FRS" Foreclosure Rescue Scams and equity skimming. Complex and difficult liability cases are welcome. We have made law in many areas over the past 27 years. These include insurance, Barney v. Safeco, commercial law, Kysar v. Lambert, and insurance bad faith, Truck Insurance Exchange v. Vanport Homes, PIP insurance coverage requiring repayment of PTO used due to an injury, Boag v. Farmers Insurance. I wrote the WSAJ Deskbook chapter on "low visible property damage" cases.
I have successfully litigated wrongful death, commercial vehicle (tractor-trailer, Fed Ex, UPS etc), motorcycle and automobile cases obtaining verdicts and settlements. Most cases are referred by other lawyers, former clients and doctors whom I have worked with in the past.
I always try to make time for every caller but I may not be able to respond to every message. If you don't have a case I will tell you and try help you find someone to assist with a second opinion. If you can handle the matter without a lawyer I will try to help you do so. Calls regarding Pro bono and landlord tenant cases will be returned when possible, such cases must be screened by the Clark County Volunteer Lawyer Program via the CLEAR line and for those over 60 .
