This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
This means that the attorney's misconduct in another state, or jurisdiction, also violated the rules for practicing law in Washington.
This sanction means the attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. The attorney typically returns to practicing law when the suspension expires.

For more than 10 years, I have turned to Phil Gilbert for legal needs. Whether it was the successful negotiation and completed sale of my small business or the personal injury case resulting from a head on collision caused by a drunk driver, I know I can always count on MY attorney to successfully bring my legal needs to conclusion. Phil has always been direct, efficient and professional in our dealings. I will continue to turn to him for legal services and actively refer him to my own personal sphere because of my confidence in him. ~ Jeff. H

Phil took my case simply to help me with the injustices of the personal auto world. My own insurance company was not backing me up regarding an accident that was NOT my fault, and Phil took care of everything. Albeit, my case was not grand, it was worth fighting for and after the "straight and narrow" wisdom Phil shared with me, the "righteous" prevailed.
I find Phil, fair, honest, consistent, direct and full of "do right". I am confident that most can not hold a candle to Phil's integrity which is a testament to how he handles the relationship of clients and those who refute fault.
Every lawyer should aspire to be like Phil.

Mr. Gilbert is a not only great but also hard working attorney. About 18 years ago my wife was involved in a car accident that her own insurance believed it was her fault and accepted the liability despite how my wife was trying to tell her side of the how the accident actually happened. A few months after the accident the case was settled with my wife at fault. She was so frustrated and upset with her own Insurance and told a co-worker about it. She was then referred to Mr. Gilbert by the co-worker friend. Phil listened and then investigated the location of the accident. He took the case and reversed the outcome through arbitration. He was able to prove to the arbitrator that it was the other driver at fault and the other side attorney was speechless. Since then, Phil had won 2 more cases for my wife and 1 for my daughter. My family is grateful for his service. It is the beginning of 2017 and I would like to take the first few days of the year to reflect and thank to a few respectable and honorable people. Thank you, Mr. Phillip Charles Gilbert! Sincerely -- Amy & Hien
