Going through a divorce is very difficult, and its tough to know who to go to for help. I made the mistake of going to someone who gave me a "free" consultation up front. They said my case was easy... Turst me, there isn't an easy on at the end. I learned my lesson and hired Deanna, she actually list...ened to me, took control and created a plan, then got things moving and negotiated a very fair deal vs the pie in the sky my spouse was asking for. I brought Deanna on in the middle of my divorce battle after learning my original attorney had embezzled money & misused customer trust funds and lost their licensing in another state. To Deanna's defense, because my divorce had already dragged on for several months, she felt I had lost power over m...y case. I felt I had a unique case where I was both the bread winner and the primary parent and had several documents to prove this. I had witness statements about domestic violence in the house in front of my young children including two police reports and a child psychology report. I had proof of medication my ex husband had taken for alcohol and drug abuse. I had documentation for his early removal from the US Army for misconduct. I filed for divorce on Sep 1, 2021 and my ex continued to live in the house verbally abusing me in front of my kids every day and not contributing to any bills. I wasn't able to remove him from the house until May 15, 2022. My divorce was final on Apr 26, 2022 and he never contributed to any bills which Deanna cattily asked me, "How many times have you told me he's not paying any bills?" I had two phone conversations plus emails with Deanna regarding the division of assets where there were blatant errors on the spreadsheet that she argued with me about. Any communication with her is obviously extremely expensive. She wasn't in front of her computer during phone calls; she was in her car driving, or in her car waiting to pick someone up. Regarding the errors on her spreadsheet that she still charged me for the phone calls and emails about it, it would have awarded my ex an extra $30,000. I finally convinced her to, "Let me open my computer and pull up the spreadsheet to look at" where she finally acknowledged I was correct. My ex locked me out of our big savings account that had both of our names on it. Attorney fees were to be paid by the individual which he used our joint account for and I had to use my paychecks for. He fraudulently used my credit cards that his name was never on that I had to pay in order to keep my credit in tact. She said we could go through all of the financial statements but that would cost me a lot of money. As for the division of household goods, she said 50/50 split was common. I asked her how exactly we go about doing that and she said, "usually people take turns picking." Well that did not happen for me and there was nothing I could do about it as my ex sold things from my house off my front lawn and took whatever he wanted. She said because I am not paying him alimony I should feel good about paying him $500/month in child support and being 100% financially responsible for my three kids medical & extra curricular. My ex worked fulltime and made almost the same amount of money as me just two years prior to our separation. He decided he didn't want to work in the corporate world anymore and quit his job. He got his teaching certificate and has enjoyed being a substitute teacher for the past 3 years. During covid, even though he wasn't working, he couldn't even handle home learning with our kids and I sent them all to a private school that was in person. In the end, she advised I do not take this court because of how much time had gone by. My children's and my living situation was toxic for the entire five months she was my lawyer. I can't believe I have to live with physical scars on my body from my ex's temper issues and pay him anything not to mention give him part of my 401k and pay him out at the top of the housing market and above all else, I lost my kids 50% of the time. My ex continues to be hateful to me, talks negatively about me in front of the kids and refuses to take kids to their practices during his time. It could not have gone worse in my opinion.

There are not enough good things I could say about Deanna and her assistant Dominique. From the moment I spoke with Deanna I felt confident that with her help, I could surmount what seemed insurmountable at the time. She is the perfect blend of professional, tough (in the best way), competent and ...smart as a whip. She has tremendous integrity and honesty and is very good at cutting to the chase and telling you the truth of the matter even when hard to hear.
