James Henry MaGee

Having just finished filing for Chap. 7 bankruptcy, I would highly recommend James MaGee as a bankruptcy attorney. He and his staff made the process quite easy for me and understood that I was quite uneducated about the procedure and it's implications on my future consumer credit rating (I had many ...questions all during the procedure). At first meeting, James and I sat for a long while, talking about how to proceed, and asking/answering the many questions involved in the procedure. In the weeks that followed, I provided all of the required personal information required prior to the court date. After I had received my Case Number for the court appearance, the calls from debt collectors stopped and instead, I began to receive letters from companies that wanted me to contact them to try to re-establish my credit. The court appearance was only about 5 min. long, since all of the required paperwork/forms were made ready and available to the Judge hearing my case. It went very smoothly and I attribute this fact to the efficient staff at James' office in Tacoma. Again, I would highly recommend James MaGee to anyone shopping for a bankruptcy attorney.

If you have a more complicated case. Such as mineral rights, estate trust, split between siblings. James H MaGee is the right attorney. We were turned down by several lawyer's. We had concerns about other siblings loosing their inheritance. Mr. Magee did not even hesitate to take our case. James was more than accommodating to our needs and schedule. His knowledge of the current laws was outstanding. And he was more than helpful answering all of our questions. Bankruptcy is not something to take lightly and can down right be embarrassing. I can tell you that he never once made us fe...el bad about our choices. He always listened to our needs and kept us informed as to what each step was coming up next.

Mr. Magee and his staff, in no way, treat us as valued clients. In our dealings with he and his staff, we never felt our questions/concerns were ever really addressed. Their response to any questions we had were always rushed, many times not elaborating in any way other than to say "Don't worry abo...ut it". Mr. Magee was never available. When he did meet with us, he was very difficult to work with. He made several comments to us that were quite rude and continuously made us feel unimportant by being late and unprepared. At our first court date, we looking forward to finally have Mr. Magee address some questions/concerns we had that weren't sufficiatly answered by his staff. At the last minute, Mr. Magee chose to send another attorney to step in for him. She knew nothing about our case nor seemed to care. Once again, not providing the assistance we were needing. Our experience with Mr. Magee and his staff made our difficult situation that much more difficult.
