I contacted Julie because my wife is a former Legal Assistant and Paralegal who thought a good attorney might be able to help me navigate the Washington unemployment system and its tricky rules when I quite working for my employer without notice for reasons I felt were justified. It was a very tricky case but Julie's knowledge of this ridiculous bureaucratic maze proved invaluable and very effective in getting me on unemployment without having to go through a lengthy appeals process. Listen to her advice, carry out your due diligence and be meticulous in your approach and you will likely up your odds considerably. I now have 6 months of full unemployment benefits on top of also getting Social Security while I transition to a new job.

Julie did a great job handling my unemployment claim. She was thorough in her preparation, as well as preparing me. Would not have won the case without her.

Ms. Oberbillig represented me as the claimant on an unemployment appeal and a subsequent petition for review from the commissioner's office. Ms. Oberbillig was thorough and conscientious. She was steadfast in her belief in my case and supported me throughout the process. She was easy to reach via email and responded quickly to my inquiries. Ms. Oberbillig is experienced in the appeals process and has an extensive knowledge of unemployment law. I felt extremely confident in her abilities.
We did prevail on my case at the commissioners level after a reversal of benefits at the first level of appeals. Had we not prevailed I would still have written a glowing review of Ms. Oberbillig. I am grateful I retained her services.

I am very impressed with Julie. She not only took my case when my previous attorney dropped the ball on me because he got suspended (none related to my case). She quickly got on top of what I had and was very proactive gathering what I was still needing to make my case. She made a super good argument to the judge with all what she knew about my case. She is very proactive, very organized and so on top of things....I highly recommend her.

First and foremost My Attorney listened to what led up to my termination of employment of nearly nineteen years of employment with a large and wealthy retail company.
I suspected a shoplifter and with little time to respond to his exiting of establishment,I proceeded to the exit to worn the people greeter that a shoplifter was making his way up.
Furthermore the shoplifter forced between us,all three of us hit the floor,I proceed to get up and recover the merchandise and the shoplifter jumped on my back,
I shook him off and told him to exit the building he wasn't getting the merchandise.Anyhow this retail company said I tackled the shoplifter and they had a video, which when it came time for court they had no video,so with attorney Oberbillig she questioned their representative and attorney. She won my case and I think they felt like they were on trial. What I most like to say is I highly recommend attorney Julie Oberbillig,I feel she is a top notch Attorney.

I hired Julie to represent me in a Voluntary Quit due to medical issues, for Unemployment benefits. Not only was she very professional through the whole process from start to finish, she doesn't back down even when the opposing side plays dirty! She represented me through the appeal against my benefits and in the end we won. She's honest, and looks out for YOUR best interest, even if it's not what you want to hear. I have nothing but the utmost Respect for Julie and her ability to tackle any case.

I hired Julie to represent me for my Voluntary quit for Unemployment benefits. It was an up-hill battle till the very end. But she was steadfast in her pursuit for Justice on my behalf and in the end her perseverance won my appeal. She guided me through the whole unemployment process. Between the employer and ESD, you could say they threw everything but the kitchen sink at us, and I was so grateful to have such a Champion to fight the battle by my side. Thank You Again Julie!

Julie is knowledgeable, assertive, and experienced. Within hours of hiring her, she took the iniative to dive in to my issue and start the leg work. And she continued the same level of assertiveness throughout my case.
When I had questions she was there.
When I wondered if I had a chance at prevailing she gave me sound, reasonable advice.
When I was at a loss she expertly filled the gaps and trudged forward with her well thought out plan.
Julie was unafraid to deal with my employer who acted as if they were untouchable. This employer is a huge part of the State government and yet she stepped right up to the red tape and cut through it with great skill and expertise.
Hopefully I will not need another employment law attorney but if I do, I'm going to definitely call Julie!

Julie was amazing during my case, even helped me with the possibility of another case by aiding in finding another lawyer (since she isn't able to handle the 2nd case). First, when I initially called her voicemail it stated that she was out of town and wouldn't be back until after my hearing date- if an emergency to call her cell. I decided to leave a message and hope she got it instead of calling her cell. At the time, I didn't know her and I didn't exactly thought it was an emergency. Julie called me a few hours later, she immediately jumped on my case which was greatly appreciated and a little shocking considering what you hear about some lawyers. Julie certainly took her time with me, she knew I was nervous about my hearing and made sure she went over everything with me. Julie even went over questions with me so I felt comfortable on the phone. She went over the order that the hearing would go so I wouldn't be surprised by anything. Julie basically held my hand throughout the whole process, because she knew that is what I needed (since it was my first time). In the end all her hard work paid off and she won my case. I couldn't have done it without her!
