Thank you Julie Oberbillig!

There are not adequate words in the English language to describe how grateful I am to Julie Oberbillig for her exceptional work on my unemployment case. Losing my job was incredibly traumatic, and when I was denied unemployment, I felt even more shattered and defeated. I had reached out to a mult...itude of employment attorneys, but no one was willing to help me. Once my case landed in the unemployment realm I renewed my efforts, and luckily, another attorney referred me to Julie. There is nothing more daunting than challenging a decision made by the Employment Security Department, but Julie gave me hope right from the beginning. My case was complex and multilayered, but she dove in with energy, passion, and a deep commitment to righting a wrong. She heard me, saw me, and empowered me to stand in the truth with confidence. Her experience, professionalism, and shrewd understanding of employment law was demonstrated throughout my case. Her thoughtful strategy was flawlessly executed, and thanks to her efforts, we won. The successful outcome was incredibly validating for me and has really helped restore my shaken confidence. I highly recommend Julie Oberbillig!

Unemployment

I hired Julie to appeal the decision that the unemployment department had made. Julie was excellent and spent many hours talking me through the appeal process and the court hearing. Julie is kind, generous, dedicated, and a great attorney! She even went above and beyond and warned my previous employe...r of defamation. Overall, she listened to my needs and got the decision appealed. She helped me through a stressful situation and a long court hearing while having had my back the whole time. I would recommend her to anyone and hire her again!

We won our appeal! Julie saved me an 11,000 repayment

I was suffering wage theft, I was without a support system and researched attorneys in Washington state for my ESD appeal. Julie is very busy and has a high case load but was available to me!.... it was maybe a 5 month long process and Julie kept me in the loop and we got busy towards the hearing ti...me.... we were well prepared and she was a great coach, made me feel at ease for the first time in many months and as though I had a champion on my side... you must be honest with her, be patient, help her find information if you can and listen to her.... I had to learn to listen more and she was a kindly teacher in many ways.... very affordable at a vulnerable time for me and I prevailed because of her in a very confusing landscape of legalities.... she is my champion, and I suggest you make her your own. Absolutely Wonderful!

Julie was amazing during my case, even helped me with the possibility of another case by aiding in finding another lawyer (since she isn't able to handle the 2nd case). First, when I initially called her voicemail it stated that she was out of town and wouldn't be back until after my hearing date- ...if an emergency to call her cell. I decided to leave a message and hope she got it instead of calling her cell. At the time, I didn't know her and I didn't exactly thought it was an emergency. Julie called me a few hours later, she immediately jumped on my case which was greatly appreciated and a little shocking considering what you hear about some lawyers. Julie certainly took her time with me, she knew I was nervous about my hearing and made sure she went over everything with me. Julie even went over questions with me so I felt comfortable on the phone. She went over the order that the hearing would go so I wouldn't be surprised by anything. Julie basically held my hand throughout the whole process, because she knew that is what I needed (since it was my first time). In the end all her hard work paid off and she won my case. I couldn't have done it without her!

Professional, effective and affordable

I hired Julie Oberbillig to represent me in an appeal when my unemployment compensation benefits were denied because my former employer lied about the reason for my termination. After filing my Notice of Appeal myself, I realized that I was at a distinct disadvantage handling this on my own against m...y former employer, a law firm! When we met for the first time, Ms. Oberbillig was already working for me, having that morning put in her Notice of Appearance on my behalf. In the telephonic appeal hearing, Ms. Oberbillig was very professional and skilled in asking questions of the employer, resulting in the judge requesting more details which when left out made it appear that I was terminated for cause. The judge seemed annoyed when she got the clarification she asked for and the truth was revealed. A few days later we received notice that we had won the appeal and the denial of benefits had been overturned. One important thing I learned from Ms. Oberbillig was that documentation I believed would support my position was, in fact, lacking in some details which could actually play into the hands of the employer, giving them "evidence" that they could manipulate to support their lies. Had I not had Ms. Oberbillig handling my case, keeping me from providing factual documentation that could be wrongfully manipulated against me, I likely would have lost my appeal. Without reservation I recommend Ms. Oberbillig to anyone needing an attorney who is knowledgeable, effective and personable while still being affordable. I especially recommend that she be retained early before the client unwittingly provides "evidence" that can be manipulated against them. Ms. Oberbillig is efficient, professional and caring, and I felt her fee was incredibly reasonable. She did a great job for me!
