Matthew J Yetter

Matthew Yetter was hired after a prior poor experience with a different attorney. He came highly recommended and made room for us although he already had a full case load. He REALLY restored my faith in legal representation. I never expected a lawyer could be so attentive, resourceful and reassuring.... Any idea of mine he had already thought through before I brought it up, and debriefed us every step of the way for our family law issue. Matt accomplished more in 2 months than our previous attorney had in 2 years. Opposing counsel had intimidated our previous attorney and had a reputation of being pretty cut-throat, but Matt kept focused, calm and ended up outsmarting her every step of the way. He really is the best in the business, and we will be retaining his services for any other legal matter that arises.

Mr Yetter was hired specifically to represent me in a contentious divorce with parenting plan/support complexities. During our consultation appointment, he listened intently with compassion. Asked thoughtful, pertinent questions and laid out a progression plan. Their were multiple court, mediati...on appointments. He was always present and prepared. No litigation is easy but I’ve found his willingness to be flexible and pivot quickly under time constraints to be a reassuring quality. He was clam, concise and practical especially when emotions ran high. I definitely would hire Mr Yetter again if the need arises.

Matt has been great with our family law needs. He took time to get to know our issues and then outlined a strategy and options for getting desired results. He was fair and tough on our behalf in court. He or is amazing assistant are generally available and are great about communicating schedules to u...s. His fees were fair and we felt he billed his time appropriately. He has gone to court for us several times and he has been respectful and kind, he conducted himself professionally in court and we felt we were in good hands. He also provided us with documentation in a timely manner about our case so that we could respond. We are very happy with Matt and would recommend him and have recommended him to several friends.

What I really appreciated about working with Matthew is his integrity, fairness, communication, and calm demeanor. These were his strengths while working with me. He listens to his clients. He is not cut-throat in his actions and is what I was looking for in an attorney. My ex and I share three c...hildren together and 20 years of marriage so I wanted our settlement to be fair, not nasty, and still have someone represent me that had my back; Matthew was great. He's very calm and during a divorce, you can get pretty riled up. Well, Matthew helps keep things calm even when the "other side" is crazy. You also never have to worry if deadlines are being met. He and his staff have got you covered.

I was originally referred by attorneys in another county given the limitations in my case. There were DV issues, children involved, serious issues of drug abuse and complications and control/exploitation, though the opposing side was represented pro se. It seemed my case was pushed to a back burner. ...I was given declaration forms to fill out on my own after being billed hefty retainers, then asked to proof JD workmanship. I consulted my concerns with the owner of the firm and my dilemma of being redundant in repeating myself with regularity and having to continually state my fear, concern and overwhelm. Mr Yetter was unable to reply, but did click away on his keyboard taking notes to finally say he didn't understand survivorship/trauma and the issues in my case. He also made other mentions that were dehumanizing and inappropriate for a sirvivor. That was $10k into it. I felt distressed and completely gaslit by this firm and their lack of professional decorum given they purport to be adept in competency to argue domestic violence cases and readily took on my case-- however they did not seemingly show up wholeheartedly (after vast consultation) in my case-- no argument for my disabled children our fear or our perpetual abuser's ongoing stalking. I disputed the charges after being offered the chance to do so in a phone call and was gaslit again by the owner with his policy and a wise crack that I'm concerning. What I know to be true is that I was mislead and there were ample opportunities to get back on course in my cases, both the divorce and the DV case. Opportunities to discuss them were quickly shut down and fell silent by Mr Yetter who does not take well to conflict or even difficult conversation with clients when there are questions of ethics or dilemmas in a case. As a woman healing from domestic violence my advice to anyone seeking this area of competency would be to look elsewhere. This firm does not demonstrate strength in the arena of victims issues and the owner lacks compassion as well as competency in areas necessary to argue these kinds of cases eloquently and sufficiently for a survivor and their children.
