Look no further. If you can get her, hire her immediately! Jamie Walker was my second attorney in a complicated divorce/annulment case. After wasting money on an attorney initially, I didn't intend to hire Jamie, only consult her, because I didn't think I could afford her. She impressed me so much with her knowledge, even keeled and pragmatic approach, that I knew I had to hire her no matter the cost. She went right to work, immediately springing into action filing motions and advocating for me. She went above and beyond my expectations. Not once did she waste my time with back and forth emails that could have been quick phones calls. She only communicated and billed when necessary. This was my first time ever needing an attorney and here is the lesson I learned: When you actually do need an attorney, you cannot afford to choose the "cheaper" option. It will cost you. Jamie bills higher than most attorneys because she is by far the best, sharpest, most proactive, effective, organized, and brilliant attorney you will find. Her experience and working knowledge impressed me beyond belief. Without Jamie, I do not even want to think about the kind of settlement I would be paying. She has an impressive legal team surrounding her who are equally responsive, proactive, organized, and smart.

The best family law attorney in western Washington

Jamie and her team are total experts with family law. I've dealt with a lot of family law attorneys over the past year and a half, so I have some perspective on this. Frankly, the majority I've worked with were incredibly unethical, super untrustworthy and just disinterested in actually following the law, but not Jamie and her team. I do not state this lightly. She doesn't back down even under a lot of stress on tough cases, her fees were very reasonable, and she's unbiased. She's the real deal, and she works in nearby counties. Don't waste time hiring someone you will just need to fire after they mess up your case and cost you a bunch of money. Go for the real thing. Also remember, you get what you pay for with family law attorneys. It's not cheap to hire the best. I feel that I got every dime of value from the money I spent hiring her.

Highly recommend

We highly recommend Jamie Walker and Kendra Lytle. We had a unique case related to the custody of our niece who was a party to a dependency action. Jamie and Kendra were creative in their approach and skilled in execution. Their hard work resulted in the court granting our motion to intervene in the dependency.

I most strongly recommend Jamie Walker. To me she represents the ideal combination of a calm, caring disposition while being an extremely capable lawyer. I recognize that divorce is a most unpleasant experience and I believe that mental illness plays a large role in divorces that end up in court. Jamie understands this. I have had the unfortunate opportunity to observe a number of attorneys and a variety of consultants through my multi-year family law odyssey and Jamie has expertly guided me while remaining personable and supportive throughout. USE Jaime Walker!

It was a long process in my mind but Jaime and Kendra were wonderful in walking me thru the process of the divorce. A couple of times I know I had submitted required papers and the office again asked for the same paperwork. Other than that, I feel that Jaime was excellent in helping me get the divorce. She's definitely worth the money spent. When Jaime wasn't available to talk, Kendra was always going out of her way to assist. People should definitely use Jaime and Kendra for ANY legal needs.

Accessible, great thinking

Jamie has been the voice of sanity during my divorce. She thinks mechanically, strategically and compassionately all at once. Super Pro

Jamie Walker and her staff at McKinley Irvin were the perfect team to assist in my high-conflict custody case. Jamie worked hard to fairly and accurately represent my daughter and I through this process. She and her staff were always prompt in their reply when I had a question. Pleased Client

Jamie and Kendra really helped me in what turned out to be a difficult divorce situation. Opposing counsel in my divorce was far less than professional being almost impossible for Jamie or Kendra to contact. I was so relieved that Jamie knew how to deal with these types of obstacles and even with the delays created by the opposing counsel was able to push my case through to completion. 5 stars!

Excellent Family Law Attorney

Jamie Walker is an outstanding attorney who is extremely knowledgeable about the law, especially regarding military considerations. She continually provided invaluable legal counsel, kept me informed of the next steps in my case, and was essential during the mediation proceedings. Her initiative, guidance, and support led to a positive settlement that addressed all my goals and concerns. While my case never went to court, I would have been comfortable with her litigating on my behalf. McKinley Irvin changed my life!

McKinley Irvin changed my life. I had an incredibly tumultuous and nasty custody case which my extremely well respected Olympia attorney allowed to become a circus in the courtroom, and drag off and on for nearly 10 years! My ex-wife unfortunately had the nastiest female family law attorney in Olympia who tried incessantly, to ensure I would never have contact with my son again. I was desperate to end the emotional and financial strain, and most importantly the impact it was having on my son as he was growing up. I researched and contacted law firms and ended up switching to McKinley Irvin, in particular Jamie Walker and her highly competent team. This included Kendra Lytle, Jamie's assistant who was an excellent facilitator and beyond expeditious during our process. In short, it was the best legal decision I have ever made in my life. As soon as Jamie Walker took hold of the reigns, the tide turned...and quickly. Jamie was able to systematically de-bunk the 'circus' I had been dealing with and at the end of our court hearing, my ex-wife received 3 counts of contempt and was basically told in so many words by the judge, not to come back. My wife and myself were in disbelief! In my opinion, Jamie Walker is unsurpassed in the courtroom and my case is proof. The litigation ended over 4 years ago and I have been able to put this behind me and move on. My son has also benefited tremendously in my opinion. If you have a difficult custody case and need change, call McKinley Irvin today..it may be the best legal decision of your LIFE!

Extremely competent advocate

Divorce is just plain hard. I’m sure I’m not alone in acknowledging that I had never imagined getting divorced and was utterly and completely clueless as to the process. Jamie Walker and her paralegal, Kendra Lytle, were very knowledgeable and patient in walking me through every step, even when I required repeated explanations due to my overwhelm. I did not know how to best address all of the various complexities along the way, but I came to trust Jamie’s knowledge and experience to guide me through each step. Divorce is remarkably difficult, but I found Jamie’s professionalism, expertise, and advocacy to be an invaluable resource throughout the process. I would definitely recommend her.

Thank you!

I am so thankful I had Jamie in my corner. With only a day to appear in court to defend myself against some serious false accusations made by my spouse, I needed help quick. With the custody of my kids at stake, I was scrambling to find the best representation possible. Jamie was able to jump right in and appear in court with me just hours after walking into her office. She shut the hole thing down, and the Judge ordered 50/50 custody as a temporary order. The rest was resolved out of court, with a very favorable outcome. I now have 50/50 custody of my kids.
