I am so happy to see my results for all of my traffic infractions and violation tickets. So i had 3 traffic infractions, (speeding, following up too close,and improper lane change) with a 3rd degree dwls and my father in law recommended me Mike carpenter's law firm. I met Michael by chance in an elevator, my boyfriend had just been arrested and I had no idea where to even begin. Michael was professional and helpful from the jump. He advised how to get the ball rolling (we were already in the middle of a deferment) He advised which hearings he needed to be at a...nd what I could handle myself (saving money) Michael was honest, quick to answer and took care of everything. I can not say enough good things about his assistance. His assistant Amy is above and beyond, before I was able to get answers they helped lead the way, always answering my phone calls, emails in a timely manner. I hired Mr. Carpenter to represent me on a what was my third DUI charge. He was both professional and courteous. I was referred to Mr. Carpenter by a friend whom he had recently represented. I felt like Mr. Carpenter actually listened to me and took the time to learn about me as an individual, as we...ll as the specifics of my case. While, and unfortunately, this was not my first DUI, Mr. Carpenter was willing to deal with my new charge, plus the concerns of my old charge, as a sort of a package-deal. He was also sensitive to my financial situation and was willing to work with me to arrange payment. Mr. Carpenter was both professional in both his dealings with me and with the court. He always showed up well dressed and prepared. There were a few instances in which Mr. Carpenter was late, but *never* without advanced warning and both times were well within an acceptable time frame. When I first approached Mr. Carpenter, I explained to him that my primary goal what was to avoid jail time at all costs and to minimize the impact on my day to day life. On both counts Mr. Carpenter was able to achieve my wishes. The eventual resolution to my case was a deferment. While I have every confidence Mr. Carpenter looked over my case to seek a better way out, he and I were both aware from the onset that deferment would mostly likely be my only option. Without Mr. Carpenter representing me, I have every confidence I would be sitting in jail today and that I would have a second DUI on my criminal history. Finally, and as an aside, his assistance, Amy, is great. She's funny and very capable. She never failed to return my calls promptly whenever I had questions regarding my case.
