Chapter 7 Bankruptcy 60%

I am proud of my nearly 20 yrs of handling thousands of Chapter 7's. Offering this service at a reduced rate has brought thousands of clients great relief. Even raising fees slightly over the years still has me on the lower end of most local attorneys. We are being inundated with national legal chains who offer little relief to people in the area of cost and they are come and go. But I am still here doing what I have done since 1991.

Divorce and Separation 25%

I have handled thousands of uncontested divorces, legal separations, and annulments. I file these cases through Lincoln County in Eastern Washington for convenience and costs to the client. Lincoln County does NOT require an appearance in uncontested matters. I am proud to provide a low cost alternative to clients that otherwise would be required to file their uncontested matters in a local court that may require an appearance and hiring local appearance counsel.

Chapter 13 Bankruptcy 15%

I have handled thousands of bankruptcies over nearly 20 years. I do not take zero down chapter 13's. I do require a portion down to file. If it is a house saver/foreclosure Chapter 13, I do require my entire fee up front. Otherwise, I will quote how much I need upfront to file your Chapter 13 and the balance is to be paid through the plan over 3-5 yrs.

If you are female DO NOT HIRE this attorney! Read other female reviews.25% of reviews are 1 star

I only read his reviews after hiring Tom and having my own "incident" with him. I wrote this, but didn't send it. I'm sharing it here to inform others: I want to start by acknowledging that I absolutely should have read the full document before sending my original revisions regarding the value of my... Subaru and the sale of my RV. And I would have caught those other issues the first time. I also did not know that you would enter different information/values other than the most current documents I sent you that I was required to fill out. I felt time pressured as the revision was sent right as I should have been leaving for work. I ended up late for work. You are the bankruptcy lawyer, with knowledge of how these proceedings work. This is why I hired you. You were also a referral from a man I trust. You said when I hired you, that you are now my attorney and available for questions. In every communication with me, you say- reach out if I have any questions. As someone who does not know bankruptcy law, I did not know that both the credit card AND the collection agency get listed under Creditors. My email to you after the first revision was inquiring about that fact, and rather than simply explain that, you got EXTREMELY angry. Yelling, dismissive, insulting. . . I also did not understand why a COMPLETED debt that was already settled in 2023, that was part of my 2023 tax return, was included as a current creditor/debt. When I inquired about that, you got angry. I assure you, it was not a “whim” to make changes to my paperwork. I had to placate your ego and calibrate your anger, rather than address the issue at hand. I attempted to calm YOU down, and acknowledge your frustration. I felt like you were not able to hear anything I was saying and continued to yell at me. I don't tolerate bullies. Surely you agree this is not an ideal lawyer/client dynamic. And maybe you don't agree, which is the problem in itself. For most people, being yelled at is a HUGE trigger and sends the central nervous system info “fight or flight” mode. Our bodies experience involuntary physiological changes, heart rate and blood pressure increases , cortisol spikes with the anticipation of conflict, and a heightened stress response. I am no exception. I was SO shaken by your yelling I had to immediately pull over to try and regulate my nervous system so it would be safe for me to drive. THIS is why I was late to work. While I genuinely appreciate all the work you’ve done for me thus far… I did not appreciate you yelling at me and HANGING UP ON ME. This was completely unexpected from someone I have HIRED to be on my side, and fairly and professionally represent me, on my behalf, in a court of law. And it is not workable for either of us, if you have a less than empowered listening of me. Or relate to me as anything other than a client you love (as your listing says) “We Love Our Clients”. If I cannot ask questions or attempt to resolve mistakes on my end, without being yelled at, then we need to come up with another option. I recommended using another lawyer, or refunding my $790, based on our contract. (Tom ended up handling my bankruptcy, and it is complete. Because I kept quiet until now, at my Moms urging)

Tom handled my divorce and bankruptcy and did a great job.

I was referred to Tom by a coworker who did his divorce and he said, "you should use my guy" and sent me to Tom. He met with me at 6 p.m. at night and spent 2 hours with me. He did a great job. I understand anyone can write a lousy review. I'm an electrician and understand that getting a client t...o write a good review is tough. I endorse Tom and his office to anyone going through a divorce and if you need a bankruptcy, that too!

just did my bankruptcy

Hired Tom from finding him online. I had talked with a few bankruptcy lawyers before him. He was just really nice. He spent a hour talking to me for free. I left thinking about which lawyer to go with. A month later I came back and paid his office to do my case. That was in the fall. I was very ...pleased. Glad to recommend Tom to those looking for a good lawyer. I hope never to have to file again in this lifetime, but Tom made it less stressful and handled everything professionally.

Hired to handle divorce

I hired Tom Hyde to handle a divorce. He had multiple excuses for why he couldn't type up divorce papers and sold me a form I didn't need. On multiple occasions, when I asked him to explain to me again why he told me one thing but is now saying another, he became very unprofessional in his communicat...ion, even resorting to using racial slurs. I wouldn't recommend him.

Krystal Warner has never been a client of mine. I am not a racist or bigot as implied in this hit piece of a review. Her boyfriend was a client who had his girlfriend pay my fee for a simple divorce. The girlfriend has been a significant problem in this divorce. She disputed the charge to her bank and my credit card processor. My credit card processor resolved the dispute in my favor. Thus as soon as the funds were put back into my account after nearly 2 months, a hit piece on avvo. Meant not to educate the public on me, but to slam me and hurt my reputation. I have handled thousands and thousands of divorces and bankruptcies since 1991. You will have a client from time to time who doesn't like you, appreciate the help or agree with you. It does not mean you can ascribe racial slurs to them that were never used or make up conversations third hand or didn't happen at all. The real beef here is that the actual client has an angry girlfriend and anxious ex to be and that is what caused the problems that ensued. Thanks for your time in reading this response.

Chapter 7

I would highly recommend Tom if you need help with filing for Bankruptcy. With Tom, there is no "Candy Coating" the facts and he explains the process step by step to make sure you understand EVERYTHING. It was easy and very reasonable.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"I endorse this lawyer. Tom has been practicing a number of years in the bankruptcy area of law. An attorney learns a lot through the various types of fact patterns they see in their careers and that knowledge helps provide an accurate analysis for a debtor when they need to know their options..Tom can provide that and advise you concerning your financial situation. He has no problem "saying it like it is" either which I also appreciate and believe in giving up front to the point advice!"

"Mr. Hyde is the consumate Chapter 7 bankruptcy professional. Mr. Hyde and I have often had many a well spirited debate about the practice of law. Much of it has to do with how we handle our client's and our approach to petition development. Mr. Hyde has developed an incredibly streamlined approach to representing his clients and it clearly has been effective. He is able to handle his clients with ease and finesse through his use of technology and database application. I have been 'Wowed' many times by the systematic approach he uses. It clearly works well and I endorse this attorney's work. "
