Masterful and brilliant Attorney!

I hired Damon to assist me in custody case with my ex. My ex took things to an ugly level and while this completely unraveled me, Damon remained completely unphased. In addition to his expertise, wit, charm and humorous outlook, Damon is a very skilled, charismatic and well versed attorney with the... ability to strategize in a very clever, effective and proficient manner. Watching Damon in the courtroom is nothing less than hypnotic as he is very knowledgeable, articulate, and thorough with an appropriately authoritative presence. Having someone as clear headed, professional and competent as Damon during such an intensely stressful time is a godsend. Damon is a high demand and reputable attorney for a reason - you will get nothing but the best from Damon.

Child Support

I was able to make an appointment quickly to see Mr. Canfield to review child support paperwork. He seemed genuinely concerned about my circumstances and might have been someone I had in my corner. However, his lack of response to emails and phone calls put me off. During this stressful time, when I ...am looking for someone to stand up with and for me, I don't feel as though you should have to badger your attorney. It would take 2 weeks to get a response to an email or phone call. And that response only came as a result of additional emails and calls.

Outstanding representation!

Damon provided me the absolute best possible outcome in dealing with my ex-wife and her succession of attorneys in a very difficult divorce. From the beginning he developed a strategy to help me achieve my goal of keeping custody of my two children. My ex-wife fled with our children under allegatio...ns of abuse. Damon was able to get them returned to me under temporary custody and with dissolution, permanent custody. He also enabled me to keep our house, which was a bonus for the stability it provides. His recommendations for hiring a Guardian ad Litem and mediator reflected his experience in navigating the local court rules and who would best support my case. In addition, both he and his paralegal Asa always kept me informed on what was happening, what I could expect and were always responsive to my concerns through what was a very difficult process.

Damon is amazing!!!

Damon did such a wonderful job with my case. My ex did not make it easy, but Damon got me everything I wanted to make sure that my daughter was safe and taken care of.

Grateful Client

Damon has been more than just a phenomenal attorney, he has been like a friend. The opposing party's attorney has been nothing more than an antogonistic bully through out the whole case and submitted lie filled declaration after lie filled declaration. Any time I have had to be in the same room as th...em I have always been able to remain calm and at ease with Damon at my side. He tactfully presents his arguments, maintains a calm, yet authoritative demeanor and is nothing but professional. Any time I have felt at the brink of having an emotional break down I have only had to call Damon or his paralegal, Asa, and I always hang up the phone feeling reassured. While my case has felt slow and painful and like little progress has been made, I am realizing more and more that Damon has strategically set up the case in such a way that will ensure our eventual success. Damon and Asa always make sure that my questions are answered, documents are written so it includes what I want and need them to say, make sure I fully understand all legal documents and answer emails and return phone calls in a timely manner. Without them as my legal guidance I would not have been able to maintain my facade of sanity for as long as I have. Damon is an honest attorney. In terms of finances he has always been more than generous and fair with how he bills his clients. He is quick to defend in the courtroom and great with pointing out the opposing party's flaws. I wouldn't retain any other attorney since having had Damon.
