awful experience

Do yourself a favor and don’t go anywhere near this office.Takes weeks to respond to emails and if you need something done you might want to pay him a visit at the office. Fired the paralegal and produced no results.Not worth $350 an hour.Stay away.

Horrible attorney

Damon did virtually nothing over course of one year in divorce case. His office was in chaos and fired one paralegal handling case. I confronted Damon and fired him. He showed lack of character and attempted to, lie, and blame me and others.

I am so grateful for Damon and his results

My ex falsely accused me of abusing our children while in my care and filed a motion for full custody. I was a mess. Damon put me at ease, explained the process, and put on a full court press. During the process Damon was very responsive and always responded back same day. Before the court hearing... date, I reviewed paperwork that Damon completed before he filed it with the court. It was clearly evident the degree of work, effort, and diligence he put into my case. During the court hearing Damon picked apart opposing counsel's arguments and the motion was dismissed inside of 30 minutes. Damon did excellent work for me and my children.

Child Support

I was able to make an appointment quickly to see Mr. Canfield to review child support paperwork. He seemed genuinely concerned about my circumstances and might have been someone I had in my corner. However, his lack of response to emails and phone calls put me off. During this stressful time, when I ...am looking for someone to stand up with and for me, I don't feel as though you should have to badger your attorney. It would take 2 weeks to get a response to an email or phone call. And that response only came as a result of additional emails and calls.

Outstanding representation!

Damon provided me the absolute best possible outcome in dealing with my ex-wife and her succession of attorneys in a very difficult divorce. From the beginning he developed a strategy to help me achieve my goal of keeping custody of my two children. My ex-wife fled with our children under allegatio...ns of abuse. Damon was able to get them returned to me under temporary custody and with dissolution, permanent custody. He also enabled me to keep our house, which was a bonus for the stability it provides. His recommendations for hiring a Guardian ad Litem and mediator reflected his experience in navigating the local court rules and who would best support my case. In addition, both he and his paralegal Asa always kept me informed on what was happening, what I could expect and were always responsive to my concerns through what was a very difficult process.
