When my business partner and I decided to start our own business, we knew we needed to hire an attorney to help us navigate the process. We hired Mark because he was easy to talk to and understood the issues small businesses face. Mark is smart, detailed, and responds quickly to any questions we have. He helped us file all the appropriate corporate paperwork and drafted contract agreements. Thanks to Mark, we were ready to go when we launched our business and were able to present an organized and professional business to our clients. We know we can trust that Mark and his staff are looking out for our company's best interest and can help us as we grow our business.

We needed help transitioning from a previous employer, setting up a new business, and developing all the supporting contract/sub contract documents. Mark helped us to navigate each of these steps, and provided us with an excellent CPA recommendation. His council on navigating the transition made for a smooth process, and he had our new business set up and all of the paperwork organized. He returns calls/emails quickly. He is clear and upfront about anticipated costs. His invoices were always clear and kept to the initial budget estimate. He continues to provide us with legal services for our new business as new contracting/legal issues arise.

Ask any creative professional in the Seattle area who they go to for legal advice and they'll send you to Mark Jordan.
I recently transitioned from freelancing to running a full-time design studio, and needed to get my paperwork up to speed. Mark quickly assessed the situation and tailored next steps for my business. Together, we drafted a creative services agreement, independent contractor agreement, statement of work and change order form.
I contacted several other lawyers before choosing to work with Mark. What convinced me were his spotless reputation, warm demeanor and specialized experience working with creatives.
Mark is easy to talk to, detail-oriented, down-to-earth and yet down-to-business. I don't know how he does it, but he actually makes drafting legal paperwork fun. I love that I can contact him at any time with any question—big or small.
I feel so much better knowing that my studio, creative work and contractors are protected. Thanks to Mark, I feel more confident bidding on RFPs and fishing for bigger and better clients. His work has given my studio a competitive advantage; when my clients see how carefully we've prepared their paperwork, they know that we're worth every penny. And so is Mark.

I hired Mark when I was ready to take my business to the next level. Local content provider who registered an LLC online without knowing ONE THING.
Had Mark review my registration & he...in a 30minute phone call...
*Talked about reasonable proposed solution/s, actions
*Was candid about time, timing & fees
*Took on the bulk of the work, while explaining the tasks in plain, non-legal, speak
*Pointed out my errors without making me feel stupid or lame... he's really good at this part...always directing toward the solution.
Extremely positive experience.
I've already referred him to a client of mine.
I trust him enough to share him/his services with my own roster of clients. That's my reputation because I'm looking for the best for my own clients. I referred Mark Jordan in a heartbeat. And I'll do it again.
Got my attorney for life. Solid.

We met with Mark before knowing if his expertise matched our needs. Mark efficiently answered our questions and gave us an understanding of his strengths as an attorney and how he could assist us with our business.

I don't know how he does it. I don't know how he is able to explain complicated laws to creative professionals like me (I'm a photographer). People like me have brains that don't 'work that way'. My brain is great at seeing pretty pictures, and coming up with conceptual ideas, and learning new skills in Photoshop. It's *not* good at understanding how laws are written, or why they are how they are. That's where Mark comes in. Through some miracle that I can't begin to understand, he is able to explain these things to people like me *in a way that makes sense*. (Cue-in light shining from the sky and lilting classical music now).
When you are in a situation where you really need help, and don't know what to do, and feel overwhelmed, having someone who can educate you, and support and guide you to make the best decisions, is invaluable. He has not only helped me with copyright infringement of my written work with another photographer, but has also helped give me guidance on an unrelated class action lawsuit I'm entering into with another firm. I know I will have no shortage of copyright infringement situations in the future, and I feel confident in Mark's ability to help me with all of them.
Although Mark works with a lot of musicians, small business owners, artists and other creative professionals like me, he is never patronizing or judgmental in any way. He is just great at what he does. HIGHLY recommend Mark Jordan.

I've worked with Mark since 1999 on a variety of business initiatives -- from starting companies to eventually being acquired this year. Mark has a keen legal mind, excellent M&A experience, and is flexible. He can be your good cop or bad cop. Great to work with. It's not often your attorney becomes your friend.

I have used Mark for my own business and have also referred him to several clients who use him on a regular basis. Mark does a fantastic job of explaining the pros and cons to each course of action and advice. Mark is also very thorough on the contracts he produces and reviews making sure that you are protected but not to the point that you can't conduct business. Having worked with several attorneys who are too protective, it is refreshing to work with Mark who provides the right balance for the business.

Mark has played a huge role the start of my new business. Both Mark and his staff professional, knowledgable and trustworthy. No one likes having to obtain counsel or paying for it but Mark is my guy and I appreciate him and his honesty. Trust and faith are important in any venture and having Mark on my team gives me both. He came highly recommended and I see why... I have and will recommend him again.
