I am a CLC Member and contacted Charles Shane for consultation on a semi-complicated, small claims issue. The issue: months ago my husband, while in the country for a short time, made a verbal agreement with a local gym to only pay a month at a time for membership using his credit card. When he left ...the country, the gym continued to charge his credit card each month, which he unfortunately didn't notice until months later when he was back in the country and they had sent him a "failure to process payment" email. The gym's third party payment service would not refund my husband the roughly $1,200 amount, saying that it wasn't their fault he didn't notice the unauthorized payments.
