HORRIBLE "ATTORNEY"!! YOU DO ALL THE WORK!! DROPS YOU WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH!! WASTE OF MONEY!!

Jack is a sarcastic and horrible attorney who makes you do all of the footwork. I had little money to start with and gave him everything I had to help me fight for custody of my girls from their alcoholic mother. I went in for my initial interview and that's the last I saw of him for months!! I had t...o do all of my correspondence through email which did not work because at times I wondered if he even knew who he was talking to and charged me the same hourly rate to answer every email which seemed to take him a VERY LONG TIME to type a response. I feel he was dishonest with logging his time. Aside from that, I did literally all of the work and spent countless hours writing papers/statements, tracking people down etc etc etc. HE DID NOTHING!! and charged me a ton of money! Then, we finally met again a YEAR LATER at my request to come up with some sort of a game plan for trial. At that meeting he said he would need another 5 or 6 thousand dollars. I told him that I would need a little time to come up with the money and he stated "It's okay, we have some time." Not even 1 week later he sends me an email stating that if I don't have the FULL AMOUNT in by that Friday that he was dropping my case!! WHAT?? I was all paid up to that point, as a matter of fact my balance was literally $1. He mentioned NOTHING about this in our meeting. I came up with the money just a few days after his deadline, all along letting him and his office know that I was working on getting the funds but it a little longer to get the loan processed. He still wouldn't take me back. My feeling is that he felt that he would lose due to me knowing NOTHING about court or divorce proceeding and he had me doing all the work. He didn't feel that I ALONE after doing all the work had enough for him to use even though I told him thousands of times over the course of the year that "I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M DOING AND NEED HELP!" So because of that, he drops me so it doesn't make his record look bad. He's a disgusting person, and a terrible attorney. Don't waste your money or your time as he wasted ALL OF MY TIME AND MONEY and I had to settle my case out of court and my 3 young girls are forced to stay with their alcoholic mother. If this is how you want your case to go, hire this guy. If you want an attorney who will actually help you and DO WORK, then I would definitely go elsewhere. I'm sure he will probably respond to this with a bunch of lies. He is not a man of his word.

Great lawyer!!

We have been using Jack as our family lawyer for over a year now. He handled our daughters divorce, and after her death, he helped us get custody of our granddaughter. He has been SO helpful! We couldn't have done these things without him, and will DEFINITELY contact him if any legal issues arise ...in the future. We never had any problem getting a hold of him, he guided us when we needed it, and he never charged for anything that wasn't needed. He even gave us his honest guidance as to NO longer needing his services....even when we thought we did. :) Also, Wendy is amazing, so helpful and supportive!! We are so very thankful for both of them!!!

My family lawyer for life!

I have worked in the courthouse, so have observed a number of attorneys in action. None seemed more knowledgable or professional. My family has had its share of legal issues--divorces, DUIs, probates--so we have had occasion to use a few other attorneys. Jack has been by far the best, and my entire f...amily will always be calling him first should any future need arise. Customer service was outstanding--when Jack was tied up in court, his staff would always get an answer and call right back. Compared to other attorneys we have used--and not been real satisfied with--our cases were handled very efficiently, expertly, and successfully.

Outstanding Services

I filed for custody of my grandchild on two separate occasions over the past 11 years. Mr. Micheau always was able to get the best results for me and my granchild. He was kind, interested, readily available to answer my questions, and knew his job when we got to court. I have nothing buy high este...em for his services.

pads his bill

This attorney spent well over 4 months padding his bill w/o even setting up a trial date...do NOT trust him with your custody issues, unless you want to wait over 4 months (and four grand out of pocket) before even seeing your minor child.

I do not shy away from taking cases involving high-conflict personalities--both as my client, and when the opposing party. Such personalities often fail to recognize that they might find themselves on the short end of the stick due to their own actions. When everything does not go according to their expectations, it's always someone else's 'fault.' I know who this commenter is, and acknowledge she was, in fact, my client. None of her factual representations bear even a remote resemblance to what actually occurred, other than she did not immediately get what she wanted. It is unfortunate that AVVO does not require any proof supporting the posting of such slanderous reviews. JM

"I worked for this lawyer several years ago. I found him to be ethical, honest and hard working. I learned a lot from working for him and it was a great experience. I have seen him zealously advocate for his clients and come up with some great solutions to help them. I would highly recommend him for anybody looking for an experienced family law attorney."
