Charles P. Shane

I retained Mr. Shane to represent me to amend the parenting plan with my daughter's mother. I could go into all the piddly details but instead I will tell you that Mr. Shane is very good at what he does! He replies promptly to email, he returns phone calls. Yes, these are things that I would expect... from an attorney but he definitely follows through. He explains why some things should be done a certain way. If you have an idea about something but he doesn't think it will help or improve your case, he doesn't just say no. Instead, he takes the time to explain why and ultimately, it's the clients' decision. We were able to get the parenting plan updated to satisfy what is in the best interest of my daughter. I would also comment that Jazmyn, Mr. Shane's paralegal, is excellent too. She took all of my calls and was able to put my mind at ease, which was often.

I hired Charlie to help me with divorcing my high conflict and abusive partner, who lives in WA although I moved to the east coast to get away from him. We have a young son together who lives with me and whose father hasn’t been involved in months but was seeking custody . Charlie has been so helpful... and explains every step of the process; he is reassuring and kind and so very funny. Nicolette and Mark have been on top of my case and are very quick with follow up. I have dealt with multiple lawyers though-out my divorce and other family law related matters, but either I was out of luck, or it's just hard to find a good attorney - most of them, instead of helping, actually made things worse and I lost all faith that I can find a good lawyer. Charlie has been honest, forthcoming and compassionate with the handling of my divorce. He expedited the paperwork quickly and was easy to reach with any questions I had.
