Review for Law Offices of Melissa A. Huelsman
If you want a wimpy lawyer who tells you what you want to hear, find someone else. If you want a bulldog, someone who knows the law and isn’t afraid to mix it up with Big Law Firms, someone who will shoot straight with you, then hire Ms. Huelsman. She got us a fair settlement with a Major Bank, slici...

Mellissa rating surprising...
Mellissa represented me in what should have been a major predatory lending case involving several companies. In a nut shell she failed and I believe profited from this failure. She missed EVERY deadline for my suit. Agreed without consulting me to let case go from Superior court to federal court, A...
I do not know who this person is but I can say that nothing in this review is true. I certainly never missed EVERY deadline in any case and removal from state court to federal court is usually done by defendants. If there is a proper legal basis for the removal, then there is nothing to be done about it. That's the way the law works. I have never had a case where documents are "attorneys eyes only" - meaning my clients cannot see them. I certainly have never filed a complaint where I didn't ask for damages and missed all discovery. I could not settle any claims without the SPECIFIC approval from my client and his or her signature on the settlement documents. There has never been and never will be a case in which I am involved where I received money that my clients do not know about and agree that I am entitled to receive in advance of its receipt. If there is ever a dispute about monies paid to me with a client, I would have escrowed the money and made arrangements for the client and I to resolve the dispute. I might not have filed any motions in a case but that is not unusual for a plaintiff. Plaintiff most often are defending against motions filed by the defendants so that they can go to trial. Finally, I have never ever had a basement office and I have never ever had a "very expensive office". I have been in the same building in various office shares for almost 12 years. It appears that this person (if I even represented him or her) would like to blame the attorney for not getting what he or she wanted from a case or has some other reason for writing a review containing false information, but that is inappropriate and is no excuse for making untrue statements in a public forum. I stand squarely by my record and my history of working hard for clients who are victims of predatory lending and who have had wrongful foreclosure issues. I have two favorable Washington Supreme Court decisions, several favorable decisions in the Washington Court of Appeals, victories in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and have extensively involved in changing Washington legislation for the benefit of consumers. Not to mention the cases I have successfully tried and I have hundreds of very happy clients whose claims and matters were resolved to their satisfaction.

If you are facing foreclosure, you need to meet with Melissa
We were referred to Melissa Huelsman from our bankruptcy attorney. Our lender had denied our 2nd attempt to modify and was preparing for foreclosure. At our first meeting she was very knowledgeable and very up front to the pros and cons of litigation/mediation and the costs. She took the time to u...

We hired Melissa when we were facing foreclosure, and were denied by our lender for modification 4 times. Melissa is an excellent attorney. She is straight forward and doesn't give false hope. She only agreed to take our case because she thought we had a chance to win. Throughout the process she w...
