I was referred to Ed after 2.5 years of an expensive, high conflict, gut wrenching divorce. I hired two law firms previous to Ed and neither of their "super lawyers" were able to accomplish in over 2 years what Ed did for me in two weeks. Ed has the rare combination of intelligence, compassion and spot-on strategic thinking that won me a settlement both high priced attorneys beforehand told me was impossible. I cannot recommend Ed enough to anyone who needs the best possible representation throughout their divorce.

Ed helped me find the best solution for my situation. He provided more than one option to move forward and gave consideration to the cost. He helped me to find resources that were relevant to my case. And I also felt he had a great sense for what was best for me and my family. I can strongly recommend Ed if you have any family law needs.

In a nutshell, I wish someone had given me Ed’s reference before I signed by divorce settlement.
I did meet Ed on a particular follow-up issue around the maintenance amount I had agreed to pay my Ex, without her declaring to me some additional income sources during mediation.
Ed gave me a quick breakdown of costs & maximum possible gains from litigation.
Where he won me over was by being sympathetic but also being candid in basically advising me to save my money & not challenge a white Seattle single mom (my ex). Based on how late I had come to know of her extra income, and how no Seattle jury was going to ask her to return any maintenance money to me. Maybe a token something that would not cover a fraction of money spent in courts.
His advice was a balance between merit of my case, and importantly the reality of how such decisions swing in Seattle courts. He could have easily said yes & drawn me into costly litigation.
Ed was knowledgeable, sincere, sympathetic and importantly pragmatic…

For a number of years, Ed has been my go to referral source for family law matters. He is highly skilled, has a great touch with people, and is very reasonable in his fees. Ed is always someone I refer to in confidence.
