Great Lawyer

Timothy Healy got all 4 of my charges dismissed in a timely manner. He stayed optimistic which helped keep me focused. He is a great lawyer and i would recommend him to anyone.

Posted by Duane | October 18, 2010 | Criminal Defense

In my opinion Mr. Healy is trustworthy and knowledgable lawyer.

I came to Timothy Healy with four serious criminal felony charges against me. After consultation with him he agreed to represent me for the cases. He was upfront with the possible prison time and helped me fully understand the charges that were filed against me. During the course of the open cases,I ...was charged with an additional four felonies and three misdemeanors. Mr. Healy had the felony charges and misdemeanor charges consolidated into two case numbers saving me time that i would have to spend in court. He kept me updated in a timely manner and told me that he was confident if the cases went to trial that he could win them. I was facing possibly 10-15 years prison time yet Mr. Healy kept me calm after hearing his knowledge of the laws and the particulars of my cases. I think he had a strong defense for my cases if they had actually went to trial, after negotiations with the prosecuting attorney i took the plea bargain of two misdemeanor charges, all other felony charges dismissed, and no jail time. I think this deal came about from Mr. Healy's track record and his in depth investigations into the cases, so that being said,in my opinion i think Timothy Healy is a good lawyer because he kept me informed and was professional throughout the course of my endeavors with the Pierce County superior and municipal court cases. He helped me get these serious charges dismissed and know i can get on with my life.

Saved my Military career and my life

Let me explain: I was charged with 2nd degree Domestic Violence and gross misdemeaner interfering with 911 call. I was just devastated that my now ex wife would do that to me. When I was served with the legal papers, I thought about fighting it on my own since I knew the alligations were just BS. ... But then came all the legal stuff and I knew I was over my head. I contacted Mr. Healy to help me. He looked over my case so far and said that he will take it on and fight for me. The first proceeding in court was to be read my charges and bail would be set. Not only did Mr. Healy keep his word, but he also got me released on my own reconisence. He knew exactly what to say in court and the judge ordered for me to be released. Over the next few months of going to court and getting extensions on my case, Mr. Healy was just building his own defense for me. At first I was nervous about it all, but Mr. Healy kept me informed that this case will take time and not to worry. Then almost a year later, it was time for trial. Mr. Healy had such a great strategy that I was almost in tears. His knowledge of the law and his trial experience is none like I've EVER SEEN. When the Prosecutor brought a witness on the stand, Mr. Healy would act like a bulldog and really go after the actual facts and get the witness to retract their statements while they were on the stand. When it came for my ex wife to reach the stand, Mr. Healy was able to cross examine her and since he knows how to work the court for a trial, my ex wife was soon lying on the stand from her statements she made to the police. The jury was also in awww that a person would get caught lying on the witness stand. I mean, my ex wife threw everything at me to get me stripped of my career in the Military and get locked up for many years. She is just a bitter of a person. Mr. Healy always kept his cool while in court, but he went after the truth with an authority. He knew the truth about my case and knew that the allegations were BS and he fought very hard in my trial to prove it. The Prosecution washed their hands with my ex wife as being their "star" witness and than concentrated on a co worker of my ex wife's whom used to be an MP in the Army to be their "star" witness. Mr. Healy was able to catch HIM in a lie through the statements and testimony. Throughout the whole trial which lasted almost 3 weeks, my nerves were just about shot. Mr. Healy kept me assurred that he knew what he was doing and NOT ONCE did he advise me to take a plea deal cause he knew that I was innocent. I felt very at ease with him being my lawyer and he knew that basically my life was in his hands to protect me. After it was all over with and it came to the closing arguments. The Prosecutor did a power point presentation to the jury to convince me of being guilty. Then the jury was also allowed to find me guilty of two lesser charges if they couldn't find enough supporting evidence for the actual first charge of the 2nd degree assault. So now I was looking at the Jury talking about Attempt of a 2nd degree assault or 4th degree assault. Mr. Healy told the Jury the FACTS about the whole case and not only did he present the facts, but he also pointed out that the evidence from the Prosecution didn't add up to any of the testimonies from their so called, "star" witnesses. Mr. Healy really did his homework and represented me to the fullest. When the Jury came back with their verdict, I walked into the court room, I saw 2 uniformed police officers waiting for me in the court room, and I saw the Prosecution's boss also in the court room. Mr. Healy told me to remain calm and so I took my seat and listened to the first verdict of 2nd degree assault, "NOT GUILTY". Next came the lesser charge of Attempt of 2nd degree assault, "NOT GUILTY". At this point I started to weep right there in my chair. Than came the 4th degree assault charge verdict, "NOT GUILTY". I just started to cry. I couldn't believe my ears that Mr. Healy was able to represent me to the fullest like this. Lastly came th

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
