Joshua (Josh) Bruner is a results-driven Family Law Attorney who passionately advocates for his clients. Prior to law, Josh had originally started his career as a construction laborer right out of high school. He eventually ran his own construction business for about ten years before he decided to return to school to earn his bachelor’s degree in political science from Idaho State University. Post-graduation, Josh contracted with the Army ROTC program and was commissioned in the U.S. Army as a Field Artillery officer. After serving several years, a combat deployment to Afghanistan, and a few moves around the country, Josh was one of 25 out of about six thousand five hundred qualified personnel selected by the Army for their Funded Legal Education Program.
Mr. Bruner attended the University of Washington School of Law and during time in law school, he dedicated himself to gaining as much courtroom experience as he could be exposed to. He did so by participating in every mock trial competition offered by the school. Josh was also a member of the Moot Court Honor Board, interned at a prosecutor’s office, externed for a trial judge, and externed for a Washington Supreme Court Justice. Josh was even awarded the MacGillivray Scholarship for Excellence in Advocacy.
After graduating from the University of Washington, Mr. Bruner was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC where he served as a Legal Assistance Attorney. He served soldiers and their families by providing legal advice and services on a number of matters, including the Service Member’s Civil Relief Act, Family Law, Trusts and Estates, and Consumer Protection. After his ten years of Army service, Josh moved back to Western Washington to focus exclusively on law.
