Edward C Chung

I really cannot recommend Mr. Edward Chung enough. I actually owe a huge part of my business success to Mr. Chung since from the moment I planned my startup, he walked me through every step, from clearly explaining to me the different business designations and their legal, financial, and tax ramifica...tions, to taking care of the complicated web of paperwork required to launch my company. The best part is that he's intensely thorough and quick in conveying complex legal concepts & issues into everyday language I can understand. Mr. Chung trained me very well and my knowledge of business law has skyrocketed thanks to his guidance and expertise. In addition to all this, he is a genuinely ethical, empathetic, and compassionate person. He took a huge load off my back when launching my company and I view him as indispensable to my company's growth since i still refer to his firm for complex business dealings. Again, I really cannot recommend him enough and I'm ecstatic to have him in my corner.

I was referred to Mr. Chung through his partner, Ms. Malhas, who in turn was referred to me by a colleague of mine (a friend of Ms. Malhas). My brother fell into a rut with a federal case and, after going through three previous criminal defense attorneys that hurt more than helped, I felt I finally f...ound people that not only had the knowledge to help (the lawyers previously hired were definitely skilled), but that actually cared about the seriousness of my brother's case and who did NOT cave into any kind of pressure from the government prosecutors. The work was done remotely since my brother is currently locked up in Minnesota (Sandstone FCI) and I live in Detroit but it quickly became apparent that it wouldn't be an issue since the legal team was very communicative with me and, in addition to this, Mr. Chung or someone from his team would always make sure to actually meet my brother in person at least once every couple months. From the beginning, I made it absolutely clear to Mr. Chung and his colleagues that they had to follow certain guidelines and expectations since we had very bad experiences with three previous criminal defense lawyers that did more harm than good (my brother's case is a rather high-profile federal case and the government did everything it could to prevent certain arguments from being brought up by my brother and OUR OWN LAWYERS made sure to help the government prosecutors in this regard by actually sabotaging and modifying certain briefs my brother wrote himself for the case). Anyways, I don't want to make the review too lengthy. In a nutshell, Mr. Chung was absolutely tenacious in bringing up every possible argument to the court's doorstep and he also did everything possible to allay our fears and make sure we understood he was definitely on our side. Overall a great experience and I would definitely want Mr. Chung in my corner for any legal proceedings.
