I’m proud to have spent my whole career fighting for the rights of injured clients. I love representing our clients because I know they are up against an insurance company with more time and more resources. I like the challenge of ensuring our clients get a fair shake.
I was born in Seattle and grew up in this area. My mom is an attorney – she taught law to business students at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma and worked on the side for a handful of business clients. I was always inspired by her story of going to law school in the 1970s as one of a handful of female students. We’re a lot alike and she’s both pushed me to work harder and believed in me. That made law school a natural decision and I’m proud to follow in her footsteps as an attorney.
I started my legal career in personal injury while I was still in law school and learned the ropes from an amazing group of attorneys at Rumbaugh Rideout Atkins & Wallace, a personal injury and worker’s comp firm in Tacoma. My first job as an attorney was at the Disability Law Office representing people in administrative disability hearings. After that I worked as a contract attorney doing research and writing for various law firms in the Seattle area before using those contracts as a starting point to take on my own clients. As a solo attorney, I ran all aspects of my legal practice. I particularly loved litigation and regularly took cases to arbitration as well as two trials. After five years of working for myself, I joined the team at Napier & George.
My goal is to be compassionate and listen to what each client is saying, then plan each case around that client’s unique circumstances. All of our clients experience their injuries differently, it has different impacts on their life. My goal is to learn what that is for each client so I can communicate that story to the court and to the insurance company. Our clients also want different things out of their case. Some people want their story to be heard and their injuries to be recognized and acknowledged; others just want to get all of the bills paid. I see our task as finding a way to accomplish that goal for each person.
I really like food and one of my favorite weekend activities is trying new restaurants and bars. I love cooking and baking, my favorite things about birthdays and holidays are that it’s a good excuse to make a cake. I grew up on Tolkien and love reading high fantasy (lately anything by Brian Sanderson). In the summer, I enjoy riding my bike, and one of my prouder accomplishments is finishing a 15k race.

Every statement he made was on point and helped me a lot to get a fair value of my brand new 8 month old car that was in a hit and run with no fault of mine. He was compassionate and understood my concerns and that was a huge plus because I was completely unprepared for such a thing. Thanks much!
"Pat is an excellent attorney who is there for his clients. He is compassionate, thoughtful, and tough. His willingness to litigate cases, and not shrink from the stress, make him an excellent advocate."
"I worked with Patrick MacDonald on a personal injury case. He works tremendously hard to insure his clients are justly compensated for their injuries. He has a command over the knowledge necessary to assist clients that anyone could find useful. I endorse Patrick MacDonal."
"I endorse this lawyer. I have discussed personal injury with Patrick multiple times. He has a command over the knowledge necessary to assist clients that anyone could find useful."
"Patrick is a phenomenal attorney. He is fun to work with and he is dedicated to helping people. I would highly recommend speaking with him if you have been in an accident or if you are having issues with your landlord."
