Biography
I was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1982. In 1984 I was admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and in 1985 for the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. I first concentrated in civil litigation and then as an Assistant Public Defender in OrlandoFlorida where I gained substantial criminal jury trial experience.
Moving back to Miami in 1987, in 1988 I established Nestor B. Gorfinkel, P.A. to dedicate myself to the practice of Real Estate. I has been concentrating in the area of Real Estate ever since, and as an active member agent of Attorney's Title Insurance Fund and its successor Attorney's Title Fund Services, LLC and Old Republic National title Inusrance Company. In 1996 I changed the name of the firm to Nestor B. Gorfinkel, Chartered.
From 1996 through 2004, I served as a member of the board of directors of a local national bank, serving on various committees including the Credit, Audit and Investment committees. I my tenure I was recruited to join the board of directors 2 other banks, which I respectfully declined in order to fully dedicate and concentrate on serving my clients.
I am humbled by the fact that I have represented many of my clients for at least 15-25 years. My clients includes a cross section of local as well as national and international interests. In order to better assist my international clients, I earned an appointment as a Florida Civil-Law Notary in 2007, after meeting all state qualifications, which included specialized notarial training and a state-administered examination.
