Samuel Rodabough is a Washington native, born and raised in the Issaquah area. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Brigham Young University, he returned home to earn his law degree from the University of Washington School of Law.
Mr. Rodabough began his legal career at Pacific Legal Foundation, a nonprofit legal foundation dedicated to protecting property rights and individual liberties. In 2005, Mr. Rodabough served as a law clerk to Justice James M. Johnson of the Washington State Supreme Court. Upon leaving the Court in 2005, Mr. Rodabough was an associate at Groen Stephens & Klinge LLP until the founding of his solo firm in 2013.
Mr. Rodabough is an award-winning practitioner, who provides legal representation to homeowners, landowners, builders, developers, farmers, ranchers, homeowners associations, trade associations, and commercial and industrial property owners, among others throughout the State of Washington. His practice emphasizes land use, environmental, administrative, and real property law from a property rights perspective.

Mr. Rodabough’s Statement:
I am extremely fortunate to be numbered among those individuals who earn a living by pursuing their passion. In my case, I am deeply passionate about property rights. As appropriately stated by the late Justice Potter Stewart of the U.S. Supreme Court:
“The dichotomy between personal liberties and property rights is a false one. Property does not have rights. People have rights.”
Lynch v. Household Finance Corp., 405 U.S. 538, 552 (1972). Thus, when “property” is correctly characterized, my charge as an attorney becomes evident. Representing clients with respect to their property is not a detached process regarding mere “dirt.” Rather, because it is deeply personal to the client, it is for me as well. For this reason, I strive to give my clients and their cases the individualized attention they deserve. I promise to provide competent and aggressive representation to each and every client.

Strategic, Thorough, Sharp Legal Mind, and best of all Personable!
Sam like many good lawyers possesses a deep understanding of real estate transaction, land use, and zoning laws. Top-drawer lawyer
A city granted preliminary approval to a short plat that I had applied for. A nearby property owner appealed the city’s approval. This required all three parties—the appellant, the city, and I—to brief motions, identify witnesses and exhibits, and participate in an evidentiary hearing (similar to a c...
