Ken exceeded my expectations & the outcome shows that!!

I highly recommend Ken because he did the impossible by helping me get full custody of my daughter without visitation for the father! I’ve learned that is a very unlikely outcome. He was organized, prepared, easy to get ahold of and always responded to my emails in a timely manor. He made me feel lik...e a priority and always listened to what I had to say. He’s direct and honest so you know where you stand. He sends a billing breakdown clearly explaining charges and there weren’t any trumped up charges so I really appreciated that! My favorite thing about him is how prepared he was for court and how he prepared me for the hearing. He’s a good guy so he’s probably not the guy to hire if you’re shady and worthless. My experience with him and his legal assistant Brenda was extremely positive so I highly recommend his services!

Best attorney for complicated divorce

I would recommend Ken to anyone with a divorce case that is not mutual in any way. His expertise helped me during my very complicated and long divorce. For more than a year Ken was handling my case. Multiple times we had to go back to the court and every time Ken was very professional, very knowledge...able and supportive. I always got prompted responses from him and his staff.

Ken assisted me during a health crisis

I had originally seen Ken after my divorce trial was over but before the judge had signed it. I had represented myself and wanted to understand what exactly it said because I had questions about it. Ken did a great job. About 8 months after my divorce was finalized, I suffered a serious health issue ...which took me out of the work force. Being unable to make my support payments and not wanting to go into arrearage I contacted Ken to handle the situation and Ken did a fantastic job and we never had to go to trial and I couldn't have asked for a better resolution. I highly recommend Ken McNeil if you are in need of an attorney!!

Excellent

I hired Ken for my modification of parenting time and child support and it was really the best decision I could have made. He walked me through everything and made this difficult time in my life less painful. I highly recommend his services.

A true life saver!

Prior to meeting Ken, I had learned through the school of hard-knocks how not to select an attorney: Having been financially blind-sided by my spouse at the outset of a supposed "civil" dissolution, I desperately retained the first attorney I could find a referral for. A huge and costly mistake.... After spending several thousands of dollars only to have a cookie-cutter dissolution petition filed and responded to, this attorney then also blind-sided me by requiring a retainer renewal of double what I had originally paid and double what we had agreed to going forward, just to continue to prepare my case for trial ... an actually trial was anticipated to cost even more. Rather than continuing to pour money into that black hole, I decided to fire that attorney and start my efforts anew. That restart began with a methodical search in an expanding local radius for an a attorney that was physically nearby my residence and near the court of jurisdiction in Hillsboro. After Identifying a significant list of candidates, I methodically researched each of them. Based significantly on excellent AVVO reviews, I was fortunate to have found Ken McNeil: an attorney in Hillsboro with a long history in very near proximity to both my residence and the court. Ken's utterly unassuming nature, calm demeanor, and his adept listening skills that were clearly reflected in his questions and responses to my conveyed history, issues, and concerns. Ken's initial retainer request and fee schedule were amazingly modest as well. For the next several months, Ken was an unwavering rock that provided me guidance and solid grounding through the worst "perfect storm" of my life. Three months after retaining Ken, and upon Ken's request at a status hearing, the presiding judge offered a pre-trial opinion that confirmed my worst nightmare: probable exorbitant lifetime alimony (my terms: the actual legal terms are pure euphemisms) for having financially provided greatly for decades to a wholly insatiable and ungrateful spouse who was demanding far more even than what the judge anticipated. Fortunately, Ken managed to keep me from going insane while he also doggedly persisted in discovering my spouses under-disclosed financial wherewithal. Just days before trial, Ken had determined that my spouse's PERS individual retirement account value exceeded what I had thought were the entirety of our joint lifetime retirement savings. As a direct result, my spouse settled out of court for half of our joint savings plus the entirety of the PERS account. In all, that amounted to 3/4 of our total assets. BUT, I was no longer on the hook for extortion for the rest of my foreseeable life!!!! I owe Ken far more than words can possibly convey!!! I was both blessed and honored to have Ken as my attorney. I could not possibly endorse Ken McNeil highly enough!!!
