Very experienced and professional attorney.

I hired Mr. Khanjan roughly a little bit less than 1 year ago. Prior to speaking to Reza, i had consulted with many attorneys for my criminal allegations brought upon me. Of all the lawyers I spoke to, Reza was by far the most curteous and explained to me that I would get the best legal representatio...n that I could buy. Reza went above and beyond my expectations of what i thought was going to be the outcome of my case. He has an amazing working relationship with the DAs office and was always there when I needed to speak to him. He throuoghly explained everything to me in a way I could understand through my entire case. At the end of the day, I was able to avoid jail time and have my charges brought down from a felony to a misdemeanor. Reza throughout the courts knows a lot of people and seems to be highly respected amongst other attorneys from what I could see and I would not hesitate in the slightest to hire Reza again if I ever need him and would reccomend him to any one that I know with legal issues.

Reza was the straight forward and explained it all!!!

Reza was the most straight forward attorney I talked to and Never told me what I wanted to hear. My case was very embarrassing and I was never intending to take the case to trial. He explained all the offers the da made and explained everything to me. He told me an educated client is the best cl...ient so he always got me time to think about da offers and always answered my calls on weekends and nights when I called frantically worried about my case. At the end, he was able to work a deal that I wasn't even expecting and much better than I had hoped!!!!!

Reza is the BEST!!!!!!

I talked to a bunch of othe lawyer before hiin Reza. i had a good case that i could have taken to trial. Bu, there were some things that really could have hurt me if it came to light. Reza approached the case in a way that we were able to keeptrial option open if prosecutor didnt find out the in...fo. but when they did i was sure lucky itrusted Reza and his approach. he told me to trust him and that he has beenhandling cases for a long a time. I did trust him because he was always honest and truthful. He always conveyed the offers the prosecutor made even though he knew i didnt want to accept them and always kept me informed. at the end, he waited until i told him if i wanted to accept the final offer and then he told me whtis personal thoughts were. i felt very good and in control because he gave me the knowledge to make the best choice for me. like he always said, "its my consitutinal rights, not his." thanks for helping me get my life back!!!!!

Thanks Reza for helping me!

He was able to decrease my charges and I was able to keep my DL to go to school. He was always available to speak to me and kept me informed during the whole legal process. Also, he took time out to write me a letter of recommendation to my nursing school so I can achieve my dream to be an RN. I was... able to get my bachelor's in nursing and now I am an RN!! And I love it! I was cleaning out my old computer and found the letter he wrote to my director at my school. I was so lucky that he wasn't like some other lawyers out there that don't even care. He is a great guy. I would hire him again if I run into any other legal problems, but let's hope that never happens again! ;)

Abandonment, Mismanagement, and Lack of Transparency

I retained this law firm for representation in my case, and this attorney ultimately took over for a very brief period attending only my release hearing after two prior attorneys abandoned my case without explanation. The only notice I received regarding one attorney leaving came via an email ...from a court clerk; the other simply stopped communicating. This sudden change left me without guidance during a critical stage of my case. When this attorney assumed supervision, he repeatedly assured me I did not have a warrant, but I ultimately was arrested that same night for a warrant and completely caught off guard. At the release hearing, he demanded $25,000 to “get me out.” I indicated I would try to secure the funds, but ultimately due to never having been in trouble before and not a flight risk. The judge released me on my own recognizance. Despite this brief period of oversight, this “lawyer” failed to ensure that critical filings, impeachment and exploratory evidence were submitted. Upon reviewing my case file, I discovered emails showing that this attorney instructed co-counsel not to proceed with key aspects of my case unless I paid additional, previously undisclosed fees. This directly obstructed my defense and was contrary to the terms of the original retainer agreement, which was never fully honored. The mismanagement and lack of supervision under this attorney left me vulnerable, disadvantaged, and exposed to the prosecution in ways that could have been prevented. Only after filing a complaint with the Oregon State Bar did I receive documents that should have been provided much earlier, including my indictment. The attorney attempted to claim that I had already received these documents, which was inaccurate. Additionally, when questioned about these failures, he attempted to shift blame onto me, citing my inability to pay additional fees despite the fact that all delays and inaction were caused by his mismanagement and failure to honor the original retainer agreement. I have documentation supporting these claims, including emails, court filings, and correspondence with co-counsel. Based on this experience, I believe this attorney failed to uphold fiduciary duties, neglected supervisory responsibilities, prioritized financial gain over client welfare, and did not provide competent or transparent representation. This review is submitted in good faith to share my firsthand experience and to help prospective clients make informed decisions. Transparency, accountability, and ethical diligence are foundational to legal representation, and in my experience, these standards were not met.

Your review is factually inaccurate. You have all of our emails showing you were communicated with. I believe you are doing this to annoy and harass us. This is the reason I declined to take your money and case. You must stop harassing us. I refused to take your money and case after discussing further representationYour review does not accurately state what happened and you have all our email communications. The state bar fully investigated your claims and they were without merit. YOU SHOULD CONTACT THE STATE BAR we document everything and the state bar also investigates claims like this which we address and respond to. every client is not a right fit with every attorney and we will only proceed when we know it’s a right fit. we refuse to take cases and money from clients that are not the right fit. We probably refused to take your case based on some potential issue but that doesn’t mean you didn’t find the right attorney. honesty and straight forwardness is how we proceed with all our clients. we do not tell potential clients what they want to hear to get money from them. thank you.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
