I was in need of a divorce attorney and I needed one quick. I started looking on Yelp and reading reviews. During an emotional and stressful time, it can be extremely overwhelming and it was. One attorney that caught my eye was Kim Ma, not only did she have incredible reviews but most of them noted n...ow efficient, reliable, knowledgeable and honest she was. I called the following day and they were able to schedule me in within a day to see her for a consultation. I couldn't be any more grateful to meet such a sincere, caring and professional attorney who over exceeded my expectations. Kim was straight forward with what to expect and didn't sugar coat anything. I trusted her immediately. Her wisdom & expertise was greatly appreciated in a very trying and difficult time. I cant say enough good things about her. Every time I'd call her (which was very often at times) she would either be available or call me back within a couple hours. When I would email her, she would respond right away. I can't express how thankful I was for her swift communication because at times, I needed answers right away. I've heard horror stories from friends about how their divorce was dragged on because of lack of communication or because their attorney was trying to drag it on for financial gain. I am SO SO thankful this was not the case for me. In 9 months, Kim was able to finalize my divorce. Kim has been my lawyer the past two years and truly has been my guiding light through the dark path of child custody court. Kim is great at listening but come end of the conversation she will always give you her honest advice or recommendation based on what is factually best for your case. She is not... a lawyer that will just tell you what you want to here. Kim knows the laws inside and out and will always fight for what is right. She is always respectful and diplomatic when speaking and will fight hard when she knows the other party is in the wrong. So many times I would be frantic and reach out to Kim who would quickly calm my nerves. Kim helped me get my high conflict custody case to a place that is much less stressful and as of now no future hearings are set. She also recently helped me in my child support case and was able to expose many of the other parties false claims and help me to ensure my child gets the support she needs. I have nothing but good to say about Kim. From the very first time that I met with her she was very professional, knowledgeable and customer/client service oriented. I knew that I was in good hands after our first court appearance which was related to child custody of my four-year old daughter who ...has Down syndrome. Every question that the Judge had for her relating to my situation, she was ready for. It was clear to me that she had done her homework on the case and was prepared to do her job. She did the job that I hired her to do. By the way, I was awarded sole and legal custody of my daughter with Mother getting supervised visits. In addition, any question that I have had for her through the process, and I’ve had many, she has been there and answered in a very timely manner. I don't know about you but I have had an experience in the past with a different attorney relating to child custody (5+ years ago) where we showed up to court and he wasn't prepared for the fact that my ex-wife at the time was asking for spousal support. Needless to say, I got stuck with having to pay that. Furthermore, I never felt comfortable with him. In my opinion, he basically just took my money while putting minimal effort into my case. I was just a number to him. You can pay an hourly rate for your case to 10 different attorneys but that doesn’t mean that they’re all good or you’ll get what you pay for. Trust me I know from experience. It’s not a shoe in that you’re going to get the 100% effort from every attorney. Moreover, Kim will care about you and your situation. I have no reason to believe that she would handle your case any differently than mine. She’s going to give everything she has. That, you can take to the bank! In conclusion, I would retain Kim again every day of the week! And I would recommend her without hesitation.
